Check out the pic above. Notice something? Yes. Exactly! Everyone's favourite plumber has brown hair on his head, but black eyebrows and a black moustache. But why? Is it due to some kind of genetic anomaly or did my homeboy M simply decide to dye some of his hair a different colour?

I've noticed this for a while, and it makes no sense whatsoever.
The character designer must've been high when creating Mario.

I've never noticed that before. How bizarre.

you sure that's the case everywhere, and not just brawl?

Mario (and Luigi’s) hair has been this way for a long time. Most game art since Super Mario Bros. on has featured Mario with brown hair. It’s only in Mario’s earliest appearances like Donkey Kong where the game art depicts Mario’s hair as black.

The old Super Mario Bros. Super Show had Mario with black hair, but it was changed for the Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World cartoons (although Luigi’s hair remained black).

Okay. Since day three.

Mario doesn't need a reason to defy the odds.
He is Mario after all!

As I recall, Mario's hair was still black in the Super Mario Bros. 3 cartoon. I'm pretty sure it was only changed to brown in the Super Mario World cartoon.

That's pretty true.

In Brawl, Luigi's mustache does look brown, so imagine that.

... He's an Italian plumber who eats mushrooms to get stronger and jumps on the heads of turtles.

Ya think he was high?
