I'm sure I'm going to piss off a lot of comic book fans here...but is it just or are Marvel and DC running really similar plots. Bear with me on this:

Marvel: Necrosha - Selene, the Black Queen, raises a load of dead mutants to take revenge against her enemies.

DC: The Darkest Night - an army of dead heroes are resurrected in an attempt to conquer all life.

(notice a trend yet?)

Marvel: Captain America Reborn - Cap died...wait, no he didn't, he's been trapped in the past, omg someone better bring him back.

DC: not sure if it has a title yet, but are bringing back the "dead" Bruce Wayne, also trapped in the past. Except he has to do it alone.

Someone tell me I'm not completely mad

Blackest Night. Not Darkest.

And you're not mad. But it happens. Call it coincidence. Call it an accident. But it happens. And it may seem like someone blatantly ripping off someone else...but it's usually not. At least not when they're this close together. Necrosha's been in the works since just pre-House of M. Blackest Night since around the time Hal Jordan returned (of course...there's the Alan Moore plot which, if Johns was purposely basing it off that, which he's not, would place it back to the 80s).

Captain America dying was planned at least as early as the planning stages of Civil War. Batman's "death"...no clue, honestly. Though I'd heard rumors of it at least a year before it happened.

Sometimes things just happen at the same time. Like Kyle Rayner and Punisher dying in the same week.

I wasn't saying it was a conspiracy, just find it quite funny myself. There are probably other examples, but those are the ones I could think about.
