Pokémon anime Executive Producer Masakazu Kubo submitted a proposal to the Japanese government's Task Force on Media Content Business and Japanese Brands that suggested the struggling anime industry work directly with professional-level fansubbers in order to salvage sales. The report was published Feb. 1.
