I just started playing a cpl of days ago

pretty awesome game

Game was just released by EA last week

I like how i can import my mass effect 2 character

it's a great game. loved it.

however, the endings were disappointing, or rather the fact that Shepard must die. I was hoping for the ending in which shep survived and just the reapers are destroyed, but didn't get it. I mean, i figured there'd be self-sacrifice, but for all 3 choices? EDIT: I've been reading what people were saying about the endings, how every choice you make in all 3 games up until you reach the citadel at the end doesn't matter and of all the plot holes and inconsistencies because of the "catalyst". I agree.

I heard the ending was absolutely terrible so I am staying away from the game, unless of course they fix it. But come on it's Bioware.

Would anyone recommend it? I've never played a Mass Effect game and was thinking of buying Mass Effect 2 and 3 and playing through them. They look fantastic, especially ME2, and a lot of people consider the series a staple for gamers. What do you think?
