Time to make a statement that may annoy a lot of Doctor Who fans. I'm a big fan of David Tennant, and I certainly appreciate Russell T Davies' efforts for the series...but we really needed a change. Stephen Moffat and Matt Smith will be a great combination in my opinion.

Uh...discuss :p

Doctor Who is a show about change, it's only natural.

Smiffat will be real good, I can feel it.

Doctor Who isn't Doctor Who without change. Hopefully Matt Smith will do well in his own character and not just copy David, and certaintly Stephen Moffat will be a great head writer and churn out some cracking storylines. And since it's Stephen, they'll send everyone back into the famous hiding-behind-the-sofa routine from way back when.

I still don't understand why the title needed to be revamped, though. That seemed unnecessary, in my opinion, and doesn't seem as epic as the one they used to have.

The big Doctor Who fans who know the classic series will know that the series changes a lot. In the 70s, the show got more violent, in the 80s it got more humorous, in the 00s it started again, and now the series will be more ... 'Moffy'. o_O

More "Moffy" is definitely a good thing. Means a darker, more mature and (hopefully) less confusing storyline. Having seen a couple of Matt's previous roles my opinion is that he's one of Britain's most underrated young actors, hopefully this is the big break he's been waiting for.
