It's May, and the new ReBURST chapter is out.

Here we have...this guy. I'm going to assume he's the second of the Seven Warriors. Name? Gender (Male, probably, but I want to be sure..I smell a lot of fangirls for this...whatever)? Burst he uses (I'm going to assume a fighting type if he doesn't use it this chapter)? What's he doing here (though, this should be obvious)?

Who knew playing "kick the can" could be so awesome?

Burst Heart = Mienshao?

That's the impression I get, at least, given his fighting prowess and bishonen-looks.

Is that a Pansage in people clothes?

EDIT: *reads Dogasu's latest updates* Oh, I see...that is one weird looking human.

Interesting. I wonder where he gets that Compass of Light that finds Burst Hearts o.o;

Should be getting this chapter today or tomorrow, I wonder what else happens in it.

Weekly Shounen Sunday is having a contest where one of the prizes is a Pocket Monsters Reburst T-shirt. I'm going to try entering :D

Probably.

We probably won't know until next week

Gender (Male, probably, but I want to be sure..

Yeah, he's a male; a promo for next week's issue describes the character as such.

We won't know any of that until next week, probably.

An old woman invited him to pick out something from her shop after saving her granddaughter from a pair of fighting Buffaron. He found the Compass of Light and decided to take that as his reward.

Now that sounds pretty cool actually.

Two words that can be said about any shonen series: That's convenient.

I just hope RéBurst gets licensed soon...this sounds like a series I'd really like.

The new chapter is out and quite frankly, I'm shocked.

Blah, blah, blah. Transformation. We've seen it a bunch of times already...

So, he's a Zorua...and surprisingly attractiv...I mean, awesome looking......moving on to the shocking part.

Miruto (or, the guy transformed into her) has a panty shot....(I should've seen this coming considering who draws this series and that scene from chapter 1)

I've read a lot of manga so this isn't new for me....but in a Pokemon manga?...Yeah, didn't see that coming...is this the first? (Barring whatever EToP may have shown..)

Oh well, time for some butt kicking, Ryouga style.

It'd be cool if this guy joins the team.

If my (limited) ability to read Japanese is correct, then his name is ハリル, Hariru (Khalil?)

Don't think there's going to be much joining going on with Halil stating that he wants to take the Compass of Light from Ryouga by Brute Force. I wonder what happened to the colour pages, iirc last week's said it was supposed to have Center Colour pages, but one page number above is 56.

Well, you know the age old line. Defeat means friendship.

I dunno..

It's just the title page that's in color.

I'd love to know how whoever scanned those images managed to get them to look as clear as they do. Whenever I scan a page from this series, I have to spend hours getting it to look halfway decent.

Also, I never understood what the big deal about "panty shots" was.

Hmm...I find it kind of odd that they picked Zorua instead of Zoroark (Come on, while he does look cool, he doesn't look so threatening with those...mittens instead of claws that a Zoroark would give). I'm kind of thinking that they did it to show that even un-evolved Pokemon could work too...(Before that, all we had was a Legend and fully evolved Pokemon)

Oh, does it show any official coloring (Like if Yappy's hair is black or something?)

Probably has something to do with the actual scanners...

It's not that it's a big deal (As once again, I've seen it in so many in manga that it's not even a surprise anymore) It's just that I find it really...odd to see it in a Pokemon manga...by now this manga has been pretty tame...

Yappy's cowering behind Miruto on the title page and is barely visible, unfortunately.

And honestly, I wouldn't have even noticed the panty shot if you hadn't brought it up.

As for the actual chapter, we learn that Hariru is one of the GG's seven warriors. He tells Ryouga that if he can gather six of the "original Burst Hearts" and place them in the grooves on the Compass of Light, it'll lead him to Arcades. Hariru then tells Ryouga that he's out for revenge since Arcades destroyed his village and killed his father.

I've watched plenty an ecchi anime and I still don't know either. I'd imagine it's because the crease lines gives readers a chance to see the erm...y'knows, without it being classed as pornographic.

I was wondering, so far, how would you rate the tone of this series? Standard readership age of say, Adventures-style series', or perhaps more in line with more modern shonen (around 12+)?

Original Burst hearts? That explains the holes...I smell more transformations....But..if Zekrom is an "original Burst", then who's the others? I'm guessing that Reshiram will be one...but the other four leave me wonderig...

Let's see...if the Seven Warriors don't have the original Burst Hearts...then..where will he get them?

Wait a second, Ryouga just so happens to find the Compass of Light..and now he's told that it can lead him to Arcades? And now this little info about destroying his village?

I'm starting to get suspicious about this guy..

Possible, considering that his name is Arabic for friend (and yet he looks stereotypically Chinese...)

Could be the other legendaries... (No Kyurem? D:)

Good God, Chapter 11 was boring.

I'm wondering if this is the type of series I'd like better reading as collected volumes instead of weekly chapters. When you only get one chapter a week, the battles tend to feel like they're dragging on forever.

The battle is feeling a bit long. I suppose it's better then the more popular Shounen series like Naruto and Bleach in which battles take chapters upon chapter to finish.

Hariru's Burst being a Zoroa of all Pokemon seemed a bit strange. I always thought they would go with the lesser cute Pokemon for Burst since we've seen a Doryuuzu and Zekurom. Now were getting a Zoroa of all Pokemon.

I can't help but wonder if Miruto and Yappi are going to be of any use at all. If the idea of them using Pokemon or being able to Burst themselves will be brought into the story.
