Nothing makes me happier than reading a medically accurate fic, so I thought I would offer my services as a medical beta reader to the community. My background is emergency medicine so any injuries/sudden illnesses are my jam, but I can offer some sensible input into most subject areas.
You can approach me either to help at the idea stage (e.g. "What injury can x have to be conscious long enough after [insert mechanism of injury] to make a declaration of love to y before they pass out?") or with jargon (e.g. for accurate dialogue spoken by a medical professional) or if you have already written something you want checking I am happy to read this. Obviously it is at the writer's discretion to take or ignore my input!
