Rufus is the latest addition in my little family.

This is Rufus :

He (yes, he) is a two month olds gray kitten. He can be seen above engaged in one of his two favorite activities, sleeping. He can still comfortably sleep in people's hands. Yes, he's that small.

He can be seen below engaged in his other favorite activity, hunting. His favorite preys are toy balls and pieces of paper`:

Despite evidence to the contrary, Rufus might not be entirely kitten. His look and attitude has led us to some speculation that he may be a cross between Felis Domesticus (House Cat) and Canis Lupus (Wolf). Evidence follows :

He's actually named in most part due to Rufus Wainwright, not Shinra (and also because my mother decided there was something wolf-like about the name "Rufus"). Though I got to admit that at least *I* thought of Rufus Shinra when we settled on the name.

Lupus → Rufus is only a small step, phonetically speaking. /l/ and /r/ - well, you know about Engrish. /p/ and /f/ are both articulated at the lips.

Trust Zhen to come up with the linguistical explanation :-D. Though it does make sense.

Awwww, teh little kitty. Heh, wolf cat. My cat is also gray, but not completely gray. It's light and dark gray striped. It's a cross between a Siamese and a gray tabby. She was also real small, and she stayed small.

He looks so cute. Especially stalking that paper ball.

He's very cute. Makes me want another cat. I shouldn't though because it seems one is more than enough. Every once in a while my cat randomly attacks me in my sleep. Never when I'm awake, just when I'm asleep. I have a scar from where he did it last summer. Well two scars, one from his upper jaw and one from his lower. I think there might be something really wrong with him, like mentally, because he doesn't play...he never has. The closest he'll get is sometimes he'll sit there and stare at one of his toys, and then he'll bat at it really, really slowly, like he's bored, and then he'll wander away.

Seeing how innocent, gentle, fun, and cute that little kitten is makes me regret even me that my cat, George, is a bad-tempered, lazy, scruffy, mean spirited anti-social critter >___>
I think he's adorable, and much cuter than any of the kittens in the Pokemon universe.

AWWW!!

He reminds me of our cat Star, even looks a bit like him...
Except Star (full-name Stardust, although nobody EVER calls him that. We call him the Arabic words for 'baby' and 'stupid/idiot') is SUPER-HYPER-ACTIVE-ATTACKS-ANYTHING-MOVING. xDD;

Kawaii! Enjoy it while he's a kitten, because if he's anything like my cats, he'll be a stuck up pain in the arse about two years from now.

...My day is now happier. Thanks, Damian.
