Mega Baxcalibur

In the latest trailer for Pokémon Legends Z-A's Mega Dimension DLC, two brand-new Mega Evolutions were revealed: Mega Baxcalibur and Mega Chimecho.

"Baxcalibur becomes even more formidable thanks to Mega Evolution, generating more ice energy and wielding a back blade that has grown larger and more powerful. With the sheer weight of this blade, it can cleave or smash nearly anything in its path." After Mega Evolving, Baxcalibur keeps its Dragon- and Ice-typing, and keeps its height of 6'11" while gaining over 200 lbs to reach a weight of 694.5 lbs.

As seen in the latest trailer, Baxcalibur seems to gain access to Ice Hammer in Mega Dimension, a physical Ice-type attack with a base power of 100 and an accuracy of 90% that lowers the user's Speed stat after hitting its target. This attack was previously only learned by Crabominable and Tinkatink's evolutions.

The Baxcalibrite, the Mega Stone needed for Baxcalibur to Mega Evolve, will be available in Season 4 of Pokémon Legends Z-A's Ranked Battles as a reward for being "promoted up the ranks". The official starting date for Season 4 is currently unannounced, but unsurprisingly follows Season 3, which rewards players with the Chesnaughtite, which follows Season 2, currently running from 6 November to 26 November 2025, rewarding players with the Delphoxite and Greninjite.

Mega Chimecho
"In this form, Chimecho is flanked by six dangling copies. Mega Chimecho always waves and flutters, even when no wind is blowing. When Chimecho lets out a cry, the copies join in and resonate with it. As these cries overlap and reverberate, they form an intense sound-wave attack."
After Mega Evolving, Chimecho becomes a Psychic- and Steel-type Pokémon, losing its weakness to Bug-type attacks, gaining weaknesses to Ground- and Fire-type attacks, as well as gaining eight new resistances and one immunity. It becomes noticeably larger to reach a height of 3'11" and gains a small bit of weight to reach 17.6 lbs.

As seen in the latest trailer, Chimecho appears to gain access to Boomburst in Mega Dimension, a special Normal-type attack with a base power of 140 and an accuracy of 100% that deals damage to all adjacent Pokémon, including the user's allies.
