Following on from its return in the physical Pokémon Trading Card Game in the Mega Evolution expansion, which releases internationally from September 26th, Mega Evolved Pokémon will be making their debut in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket later this year in an as yet unannounced expansion.

Similar to how they work in the physical game, these Mega Evolved Pokémon ex will give up 3 points when they are knocked out, reflecting the sheer degree of power they can be expected to wield. This may make many matches featuring them into effectively 5 point matches, with the Mega Pokémon acting as a massive wall to the final point.

While no exact date was announced for the release of this new expansion in the trailer that was shown as part of the 2025 Pokémon World Championships closing ceremony, players should expect it to go live sometime around the start of the game's next Ranked Match season.
