I always thought Rayquaza had a meh design, but damn, dat Mega form. :eek:
 
The huge plates on mega rayquaza's face feel out of place to me. Other than that it is a really cool design.

Holy crap.

It's so epic. Mega Rayquaza and Dragon Ascent (But what the hell is this nonsense about it being a flying type? Or is it like Flying Press)

Edit: Okay to be fair, I realize that it makes sense, given that it fits with the mythology of the 3. Land, Water, and Sky. But why would the localization call it Dragon Ascent knowing it isn't a dragon type move.

I expected it, but all I can say is... Holy shit. It is one of the few FREAKING AWESOME megas.

And now I'm drooling because of how AWESOME it is! ;D Woot! ;D Dang, I can't wait to get my hands on this guy in ORAS, I swear! >3<

I wonder what it's stats will be like lol. I have a love/hate feeling for this design.
 
Anyone else get Wayne Barlow flashbacks when looking at this thing?
I'm surprised Rayquaza got a mega evo since it made more sense to me that it would get a Primal Devolution, but I guess GameFreak knew everyone saw that coming. Anyway, since Delta Stream nerfs Flying's weakness to Rock, Ice, and Electric, Mega Rayquaza will probably take 2x damage from Ice instead of 4x, neutral damage from Rock, and completely resist Electric.
 
Looks like something from Final Fantasy. For real.

Delta Stream sounds kinda awesome, but it's actually useless. Why? First, weather teams are only useful in competitive; the offline game is so easy, you'd never use such an advanced strategy. And secondly, weather teams are not common in Ubers, where MRay will most definitely reside. If it were possible to get Turbulent Winds in OU somehow, it'd be a game-changer (because it'd negate Stealth Rocks). But unless they add a move that can induce this new weather condition, it'll be a novelty and nothing more.
 
I don't think I've ever immediately fallen in love with a Mega's design so fast before! Mega Rayquaza looks awesome as hell. Easily my favorite design so far! Everything about it is just so right!
 
Hold on a second. It is Mega Rayquaza, but not Primal Rayquaza??? Why?

I'd hardly consider the extra resistance it provides to be useless. Now it won't definitely for-sure be one-shotted by Ice Beams. Besides, there's always non-competitive multiplayer.
