Hi, guys! I was just wondering.. Have any of you had melon bread? I've been watching Shakugan No Shana lately and I was wondering if anyone has seen or eaten it before. I really want to try some! Can anyone tell me where to find it?! I LOVE sweets, so... And does anyone know what it tastes like?;-)

Edit: Hmmm. ... I'm getting a lot of mixed reactions here. But thanks--!!! I'm still going to try some someday!

It's...rather average actually. Cookies and bread combine to make something not quite as good as either.
If you really want to try cookie-coated bread then I'd recommend pineapple buns, they're a bit better (but still not great IMO).

I've had some Melon bread before; I bought it at a Japanese store somewhere in NYC. It tasted delicious! It was very sweet, and filled me up quickly. You can probably get it at a Japanese Market.

Whaat!? Wow, that sounds delicious! I LOVE sweets, and I could eat them all day, so I was curious about melon bread. I MUST try some! Thanks for telling me!

I had some melon bread years ago at a convention, but have had no luck finding it anywhere since then.

It was delicious.

I know I'm late to this thread, but thought I'd share anyway. Melon bread is good to me. I liked it okay and it as sometimes apart of the school lunches at the school I worked at in Japan. I used to save it and take it home. To me, it's not too sweet and stuff, so that's a plus for me.
