Suggestion Member of the Month?

This is pretty much the same issue as the reputation discussion we had in the suggestions forum. Its good in theory but probably bad in practice.
 
This would be a cool feature, with a thread of the person and good quotes and nice things the person has done.
 
Don't like it, inflates egos, and creates favoritism.
 
Well perhaps it could just be called "Featured Member" and pick someone at random?That way people could learn more about other users.
 
maybe sub categories? Most referrals/posts/etc this week for example.
 
Yeah, tbh, I think a system to pick a best member of the year/month/week/day/hour/millisecond would cause more tension than happiness.

Well, obviously they have to pick someone active, but I think this could work yes, if they're picked at random. Maybe one a week, or is that too much? One a month seems to little to me.
 
I think we should, or we should have a pageant lol jking. Miss./Mr. Bulbagarden. Sounds weird.
 
I dont like this idea, then people wont post just to post, theyll post just to be the member of the month.

This'll discourage people (or ego boost em), and we don't want that.... eventually, it'll result in am argument

This would be cool, and the user could take a survey or something. I support this :) Much better than having a member of the month, that's leading somewhere no one wants to go.
