Well, it's still a bit buggy thanks to the addon not having been updated for the latest version of vBulletin yet, but the mentions system is back and working.

If you want to mention someone in a post, there's two ways you can do it.
1. Manually write in the BB code. For example, to mention me you'd write (removing the extra spaces)
[ mention ] Archaic [ / mention ]

2. Place an @ at the start of their username, and an ; at the end of their username. For example (removing the space at the end)
@Archaic ;

The old system of just putting an @ before a username with nothing at the end will not work. This is due to a bug in the addon in the latest vBulletin. There's nothing that we personally can do about that but wait for the addon to be updated, so please don't ask us when that will be re-enabled, because we simply don't know.

Well the having something after the name is weird because I have done a few mentions where there wasn't anything and it worked. @Soulmaster is confused...

EDIT: Nevermind my confusion my above mention sorted it out. @Soulmaster; understands now!

Huh, so it seems like it's working even without the ; from the above. That's....odd. If you type in the ;, it should parse that out when it inserts the mention. Still, if I turn that setting off, then we get weird crap where me trying to mention Piplup has me mention Piplu (both real examples of actual member names in our database), so it'll stay like that for now. Best thing to do is get used to using the ;. Even when the addon is fixed, we might leave that on as a safety net.

*checks the mentions tab*

No results to display... :'(

jk Thanks a bunch.

Wait, just putting a @ symbol mentions someone? Why didn't that ever work for me before?

Oh well... Mentions are back!!!

Edit: Forgot to ask: Does quoting also work again?
