Meowth Moves Overview

Meowth's Moves Overview graphic
In Pokémon UNITE, Meowth does not evolve into Persian and stays as Meowth for the entire match. It has the ability Pickup, which allows Meowth to pilfer the battle items of opponents on attacking them (or a random battle item in case of wild Pokémon).

Meowth's first move slot consists of Scratch, which can upgrade into Pay Day or Fury Swipes. Scratch deals damage by scratching an opponent with sharp claws. Pay Day has the user hurl a gold coin in the designated direction, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to opposing Pokémon it hits. Gold coins will drop near opposing Pokémon it hits, which will reduce the time until this move can be used again on being picked up. Fury Swipes deals damage by swiping sharp claws twice at the designated opponent, dealing damage and granting the user a shield effect. The number of swipes increases (up to 5 maximum) based on the number of times the user has recently dealt damage to opposing Pokémon.

Meowth's second move slot consists of Feint, which can upgrade into Feint Attack or Assurance. Feint deals damage by dashing towards a designated opponent. Feint Attack has the user pounce at the designated opponent, dealing damage by scratch them with its claws and leaving them unable to act. When this move hits, the user is granted a shield effect and can quickly move in a designated direction, with the next basic attack being boosted. Assurance deals damage by charging in the designated direction, also restoring the user's HP. The more times the user has recently dealt damage to the opposing Pokémon (maximum 5 times), the more HP is restored. This move deals double damage to opposing Pokémon the user has recently dealt damage to five or more times.

Meowth's Unite Move is Gold Coin Barrage, which has the "Sure Hit" effect. The user unleashes a barrage of gold coins toward the designated Pokémon from the opposing team, dealing damage. If Pokémon from the opposing team step in the coins' path, the coins will hit them instead. During the attack, coins will periodically drop near Pokémon from the opposing team hit by the move.
