South Korea's MERS Outbreak Likely to Spread Says WHO

Update: at least 1000 people are now quarantined, and 3 people died. At least 200 schools are closed for the time being, including at least one university.

Citizens are worried about the worst case scenario - an epidemic, as there is no known cure for the Mers virus.

Update: 21 people have died. Over 160 people are confirmed to have caught the disease. Around fifteen people have recovered from the illness.

There is still no known cure for MERS. One possible method is to extract MERS antibodies from the cured people and inject them into the current patients. They're running tests on it, and hopefully it might serve as an effective alternative.

I hope MERS wouldn't spread to the local society.
