Magikarp can learn Bounce but, Metapod can Electroweb so it could be either of them.
Who is the most useful?
Magikarp dosen't have a Stealth Rock Weakness which means Magikarp wins.
Which do you prefer?
Magikarp because it's Magikarp.

I'd like to say Metadod, but since Magikarp evolves to Gyarados, I must say that the carp is better.

Metapod, it is a Bug Pokémon and evolve to Butterfree, which happen to be a Pokémon I appreciate.
