Dunno if this had been talked about but anyways...

In most of the games, we carry all of our money with us and use them whenever we want. However in GSC, HGSS our in-game Mom takes care of our savings. Some of your winnings from battles will be sent to Mom, and you can also deposit all your money to her as well. She will sometimes buy you gifts with your money.

Do you think there will be a new way to handle our savings? Personally, I'd like to have some bank or so where I can deposit all my money in so I don't lose money after losing battles (which happens usually when I'm grinding at the E4). Mom taking care of our money seems like a good idea ... if only she stopped buying useless stuff, that is

Hmm... interesting concept. Hadn't really thought about that. While having your mom save some of your winnings was fine, it could also be a problem. Especially when you need expensive things like Max Potions, Ultra Balls, etc for late game. Even early game it could be a drag at times, especially if you cannot re-challenge NPCs at will. And with the tendency to buy only somewhat useful items with your saved earnings got to be tiresome (not entirely, when she bought useful items, like Held Items, but it was mostly mundane things like Potions).

However, a bank does sound like a good idea. You can deposit at will, as much or as little as you want, and take out what you need later. It does sound like a good idea. Something to fall back on in case you run into problems or get pounded into a pulp by some elite trainer (E4 comes to mind). So, yeah, a bank would be an interesting idea I could get behind.

I really wouldn't mind having the "Mom" feature in the XY games. I never really had that much of a problem with her spending the money, as (at least in HGSS) they were generally useful items that you can get.

A bank would probably be a safer idea however. So long as they were in about every city it could be more useful than just your mother.

I can see a few ways it could help. They could put an interest feature where you can gain money by just saving money, as like real banks. And much less likely, you could make a withdrawal and have to pay interest as well. It may be a bit too complicated for a Pokemon game, but I would enjoy a feature such as that.

I would love a stock market feature where I could invest in different Pokémon corporations such as the Pokémon Center, Pokémon Mart, Silph Co., etc. But the feature would never become a reality, any further than the Pokémon Casino's concept. I can get my fix in other games anyway.

But ultimately Pokémon Dollars lose value as you progress through the game. In the beginning each battle carries more weight as you earn a minimum reward, but once you've beaten the Elite Four and make ~10,000+ each time you win a battle, the dollar becomes inflated because the Items don't increase in price per item. If the prices of Pokéballs and other Items increased then the value of the Pokémon Dollar may remain constant, but otherwise it quickly becomes a novelty, not a necessity.

I feel like giving us a bank would make things too easy. Like, losing money when you lose a battle, though relatively minor, is a part of the challenge. That's probably why in GSC and HGSS, you only sent some money home and not all of it. I feel like storing all your money, and then continuously challenging Gyms of E4 or whatever until you win just abuses the system; there needs to be some kind of penalty other than you just can't pass until you win. Not to mention, above all of this, it's just a staple of the Pokemon universe; you pay money to the winner of the battle. Even if it sucks, we shouldn't be exempt from that rule.

They probably won't make it so you don't have any money on you at any given time (barring losing all of it). Especially since you even start the game with money. If they did do something, regardless of if it is a bank, some kind of storage, or your mom, I'm assuming that you'll still have to have some amount of money on you.
