For those of you who don't know, the Mew level 9 and under is a hacked and cloned shiney pokemon. I'm not sure what started the craze in the GTS with everyone wanting one, but I must put this information out. There is ONE person who can give you this pokemon, and that is the hacker him/herself. Once you have the afflicted pokemon, you cannot trade it for anything, and if you try to offer it up for a trade, it sometimes disappears. This may just be a glitch in the GTS, though, as I have lost other pokemon this way. If anyone would like to add information to this thread, please do.

I just want the craziness to stop in the GTS, so I can trade pokemon again...u.u

It sucks, I know. I sometimes get entire trade sets where everyone wants the lvl. 9 and under Mew. It gets frustrating sometimes ;_;

Yeah, this Mew LV 9 and under craze is really irritating. A lot of the Pokémon I've seen that I would of liked to trade for I couldn't because they're asking for this hacked Mew almost all the time at the moment :/

Yes, my current trading battle is for a Dusknoir, and Electivire. >.<

We should set up our own GTS system...lol
Essentially, that's exactly what Serebii has done on his forums. :) It's still a little awkward, but it doesn't take a whole lot of getting used to. Plus, since you don't have to have actually seen the pokemon to trade it, it's much more convenient to get pokemon you've never seen.

I think there's an effort to devise some kind of equivalent here. The auction house is a neat way of doing it. But registration is open for that, and that's it so far. Time will tell, as the saying goes. :)

Edit: forgive me; I was wrong about the Auction house. I thought it was supposed to be just a fancy trade station, but it refers to actual pokemon merchandise that you sell, lol.

rawr...

Darn. well, how soon will the Wireless Garden be up and running? Is there anything I can do to help it on it's way?

Some of these people are just trying to evolve their Trade Pokemon by leaving them on the GTS for a while.

I've tried that, and it didn't work for me. Besides, I hear now that if you do that, Nintendo will ban you for life from the GTS. Which was why I tried. lol

How would Nintendo know whether it was left to trade or evolve??

How would leaving it on the GTS make it evolve, anyways?

I mean, I know a glitch about evolving those Pokemon without trading them (A topic on SPPf that is always on page 1)...do you mean that? Because I did it succesfully and I can still surf the GTS.

I know that if you don't want your Pokemon traded while performing that glitch, you might ask for a level 9 Mew...I wouldn't. I'd ask for a level 9 Deoxys instead.

I was wondering wich Pokémon I should ask for so I don't lose the Pokémon I'm trying to evolve.

I was wondering why everyone wanted a Mew level 9 and under. Dag nabbit, this guy gets all the shinies and cream of the crop pokemon.

This would just go to show you the sheer number of hackers out there, since you can't even search for a Pokemon on the GTS that you haven't seen in the games yet. Wi-Fi battles don't count, so everyone looking for a Mew would have to have already had one (unless there's an AR cheat that removes that restriction). And since the vast majority of those people would've hacked their Mews, either way, it proves that they cheat.

I was just sharing a rumor that I had heard. I'll go edit my origional post. ^^

Not necessarily. I look at Mew as a bad example, because it's the ONLY event Pokemon I have. :p If you lived in America when the Toys R' Us event went through, you'd know that it was a very easily accessible event. I even got two mews by going through the line twice. xD
