Mew or Arceus?

Mew, simply because it contains DNA of all of the Pokemon. =] Also, Mew is the only other Pokemon that can learn Transform by leveling.

Yes, it contains all the DNA, but that doesn't mean it's the 'God of all Pokémon'. If so, there would be more information about Mew, story-wise, but in the beginning of the anime, manga and games, nobody knew about Mew. Of course, Arceus is fairly new, so nobody from the first games knew about Arceus, but in Sinnoh, and even in Johto from Generation IV, people know about Arceus, the dragon-trio and the lake-trio, which have been created by Arceus, as well as all the other Pokémon in the Pokémon World.

Mew is the ancestor of all Pokémon, because it carries the DNA of each Pokémon and can transform in every Pokémon, because probably in some unknown Pokémon history, Arceus also created Mew, and made it possible to transform into any Pokémon.
 
Mew. You see, one slowly evolved into the most powerful creature the universe has ever seen, only to overload. Instead of destroying the universe, it instead used the power of Celebi to time travel back to before the universe began, with a shield similar in appearance to an egg. The Mewvolution exploding, incidentally becoming the Big Bang. With so much energy floating around, the Mewvolution used the thousands of arms it had evolved to shape the universe, whereupon it again began to overload. Instead of exploding, however, it release three of it's most powerful powers in the form of Dialga, Palkia and Giratina, the Mewvolution subsequently losing control of Time, Space and Reality. As it was trapped in Time, it eventually stripped lost it's willpower, it's knowledge of forecoming events and emotions for the humans, themselves becoming their own form and hiding themselves at the bottom of three lakes to avoid reabsorption. The Mewvolution eventually decided it had enough, hiding itself until a trainer pure of heart could somehow get to it....

Naw man, I joke, Arceus was said to have created the universe, Mew is part of the universe, so Arceus came first.
 
I agree with Instrutilus; Arceus created the geographic universe, and Mew created the biological universe.

Wouldn't that mean that Arceus would also have the ability to transform into any Pokemon that exists, to a greater degree than both Mew and Ditto?

Keyword for my sentence is bolded... =/ I specified other, because I knew Ditto get's Transform, and that Mew is the only other Pokemon that can learn it through leveling.

I agree with this statement; simply because that even if you create a world of sorts, unless you put someone in that world to fulfill it's use, you can't really say that it's a world.
 
Maybe Arceus created Mew first. Then, from experimenting on Mew, he was able to create the Dragon and Lake trios. From then on, Mew's offspring became more mutated, thus creating the other Pokemon species.

Total guess.
 
It's been stated that Arceus created everything. Mew is just the most powerful Pokemon of all time.
 
Nether, the world was created by the big bang.

There isn't any prove that Arceus created everything because nobody was there to see it and Mew couldn't have created the world because Mew was created after the world was made.

Also, I never thought of ditto as a deformed Mew, I always thought that Ditto was a failed experiment or something.

Arceus. It's confirmed. Arceus created everyhting including, the Legendary Dragons, Pixies, and the whole Pokemon universe/world.

Mew just contains every Pokemon's DNA.
 
I voted for Mew just because its way more awesomer than Arceus. True Fact.
 
My theory:Arceus came from nowhere,and created the Dragon and Lake trios,and the Pokémon universe.Then,Arceus created mew,who populated all the pokémon world.The mews mutated and turned into all other species of pokémon,with only a few mew remaining.
