Hi! Thank you for clicking on this blog. This place will be for almost everything me-related I want to yap about. From band girl anime to blue rats to my struggles with resisting the urge to buy yet another plushie, if you want to get to know me, or just talk to me (you're very welcome to!), this is the place!

A quick introduction to me: My name is Mia, I'm 24, and I'm a trans lesbian. I've been a woman since I was 18, and on hormones for over four years now. I won't talk about that too much, honestly. It's just kind of my day-to-day! I barely think about it these days, hehe. I also am legally recognized as disabled (I have BPD), and rely on France's stellar healthcare and social resources to afford my therapy, bills, and HRT. I'm not saying everything is peachy here, but... well, not having to pay a dime for life-saving medication and healthcare is pretty neat.

Other than that... I love writing, animation, and video games. I own a Switch 2, a Wii, and every dedicated Nintendo handheld aside from the original Game Boy line, so I'm always up to play games with y'all if we have any in common! My friend codes for Switch and 3DS are in my profile... somewhere. You probably know where to look better than I do, lol.

Here's a quick overview of the main things I'm into:

BanG Dream!
Created in 2015 by Bushiroad (the corporation behind Love Live!), the BanG Dream! franchise focuses on, as of right now, ten different groups of five girls (with one exception) who form bands of varying music genres for varying in-lore reasons. Seven of the ten bands play live, while three only feature the seiyuus as singers and rely on other bands to play the songs. Here are some of my favorites:

-RAISE A SUILEN
The sixth (or seventh? I'm not entirely sure) band to be created, RAS is an electronic music group composed of LAYER (Vocalist and bassist), CHU² (DJ and backup vocalist), PAREO (keyboardist), MASKING (drummer) and LOCK (guitarist). In-universe, they aim to revolutionize the music industry with their fresh, professional-level sound. Here's my favorite song from them:
CORUSCATE -DNA-

-MyGO!!!!!
This group was the eighth band to be formed, and is comprised of Tomori Takamatsu (Vocalist), Taki Shiina (Drummer), Soyo Nagasaki (Bassist), Anon Chihaya (Rhythm Guitarist) and Raana Kaname (Lead Guitarist). They are a group of girls who are lost in life, trying to find their way by playing in this band for their whole lives. The first three members went through something traumatic with their previous band, and they still bear the weight of those scars, but they feel a little happier when they can play together with their new friends. It'd take way too long to get into them here, so I recommend checking out the thread made by other members here at Bulbagarden for more info! I really like this song of theirs:
Tanebi

-Ave Mujica
Finally, here's the band I can't shut up about. Ave Mujica is the ninth and second-to-last group to have been formed as of now, and focuses on hard rock and heavy metal as their genres, with a few, more slow-paced outliers in the mix (which are always among my favorites). This band technically has six members rather than five, but that's kind of a spoiler, so I won't get into said sixth member here, hehe. The other five are the vocalist and lead guitarist Doloris (my beloved, she's in my signature and profile picture), the keyboardist Oblivionis, the rhythm guitarist Mortis, the bassist Timoris, and the drummer Amoris. Their story is very, very tied to MyGO!!!!!'s, so it's difficult to explain here without getting into spoilers, but just know that it gets very angsty and gets into some very, very deep (and interesting) subject matter. It's a show that will change your life. It has for several people I know, and it did for me. You can argue that the only reason I'm alive now is thanks to it. Again, check the thread for more info! As for the featured song, I won't link my favorite this time (it isn't very representative of the rest of their discography), but I also absolutely adore this one:
Black Birthday

Sonic the Hedgehog
You know him, you (might) love him, the Blue Blur has been in my life for as long as I can remember. The very thing that set me on the path to not shutting up about my interests on this very blog is my grandma sitting me down in front of her Sega Mega Drive at the age of four years old, handing me a controller, and letting me walk around in Sonic 2's first zones. I fell in love right then and there, and have been playing Sonic games, as well as other video games, ever since.

My favorite Sonic game (and overall video game) of all time is Sonic 3 & Knuckles. This 31-year-old platformer is genuinely the best I've ever played in the genre. The level design is immaculate, the sprite work is sublime (especially by 1994 standards!), the music... well, it wouldn't be a Sonic game without incredible music, right? I also love the Sonic Rush trilogy on DS, namely the second entry, Sonic Rush Adventure. It exudes cool in ways even other games in this franchise can't always match.

In terms of characters, my favorites are Sonic himself (I genuinely think I learned more from this fictional rat than I did from my parents sometimes), Blaze the Cat (for being a genuinely badass and elegant female character in a franchise that needs them), and Dr. Eggman (he's just the perfect foil to Sonic, and he's an iconic antagonist for a reason). I could talk about Sonic forever. He gave me one of my biggest interests, and led me to the only other one that can hope to match his franchise in my heart...

Pokémon
It wouldn't be a Bulbablog without Pokémon, right? I mean, I wouldn't be in this corner of the Internet without those critters.
I already went over my introduction to the franchise in my intro thread, so I'll keep it short here, but just know that this franchise is my most played for a reason. I'm always thinking about Pokémon. Be it shiny hunting (look forward to my Shiny Living Dex Bulbablog in the near future!), walking around my city playing GO, raging about not getting that goddamned Rainbow Rare Crobat EX in TCG Pocket, watching Pokémon Horizons, or cuddling my beloved son, Spriggy the Sprigatito Plushie, Pokémon always has a place in my life and my heart.

My favorite Pokémon game is Pokémon Platinum, closely followed by Pokémon Violet. I've replayed both many times (I recommend doing a playthrough of Scarlet and Violet with only Pokémon with 410 BST or under. It was delightful), and will definitely replay them again in the future. My favorite Pokémon are Crobat and Sprigatito.

Those are my big three hyperfixations, but there's something that trumps all of them in my life...

Writing
Writing is my life. It's my heart and soul, my lifeblood, the breath in my lungs. I've been writing since I could hold a pen. I used to write cute little stories about Yoshis going on adventures, and now, two decades later... I'm writing cute little stories about anime girls kissing. The more things change, the more they stay the same, I guess!

Lately, I've mostly been writing fanfiction on my Archive of Our Own account. Every franchise previously mentioned here has at least one fic written for it, on top of many others (Persona, Fire Emblem, Steven Universe...) as well as some original work! I always have ideas swimming around in my head for some sort of new creative writing assignment. If I ever stop writing altogether one day, assume I have been replaced by a robot and get the tinfoil. /silly

I think that's more than plenty to read for you all iudskjlhfejld. I'll end this quick by linking all sorts of accounts you can find me on:
Tumblr
Bluesky (seldom used)
AO3 (again. please check my ao3 orz)
Discord: Mialentia (I might not accept your friend requests if we haven't talked before!)

Again, thanks so much for reading! I hope we can get along! Don't hesitate to ask any questions if you want to! I'm an open book!

Welcome to BulbaBlogs! :enzap:

I might have to check out BanG Dream! at this point since I keep seeing it so much on the forums, I don't know if it'd be for me but the band aspect seems super interesting!

Ahaha same! Especially when it comes to staying positive and motivated. Also, yay another Blaze fan!

Have fun blogging! :>

I can't recommend it enough honestly. If you like slice of life moe shenanigans, the earlier seasons are fun, and if you like character-driven dramas, It's MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica will be up your alley. If you like yuri, there's a lot to headcanon about in both, lmao

Went out today! I had to meet up with a friend to talk about maybe going to the Mega Evolution event in Paris next week, and while we were there, I ended up picking up some neat things.

First are these Pokémon-branded snacks. I had never seen them before today. Apparently, they're dried noodles of some kind? Turkey and chicken-flavored. I picked them up because they were cheap, and because when do you ever see merch with Metapod and Paras on them?

Second, it wouldn't be me without yuri! This manga is a sequel to another yuri work I read a few years back. The author is a Spanish woman. It's pretty neat seeing manga not from Japan, and I love her style. It was an instant get the moment I saw it.

And finally... look at my new cuddlable child. I love Smoliv, so the moment I saw this plush, I knew I had to get it. My collection grows... no, I don't have a problem, you do! /j

sorry for the lack of updates everyone! I got super busy over the weekend and then got sick lmao (still dealing with the latter but I should be fine)

Firstly, I wanna show you something cool: I cosplayed Doloris from Ave Mujica at a con last weekend! Unfortunately, the cosplay was a little too small on me and I ended up ripping it, but I managed to take some pictures in it first, so it's fine. ^^

Here they are:

Uika/Doloris is an incredibly important character to me, so I was really happy to be able to cosplay her. I don't think there's any character in the world I feel quite so connected to.

Beyond that, I finally recieved my disability aid! It's been hard making ends meet lately, but now this should hopefully not be a problem anymore... it's such a relief. Due to that, I've now booked my hotel and flights to London for EUIC next February! I'll be meeting with one of my dearest friends when there. If any of you are going, make sure to let me know! It'd be cool to meet up. I'll trade you a Crobat or something, as a souvenir. ^^ And if you have any tips of places to visit or things to do, I'm always down to hear them out!

I recieved my passport and Visitor Oyster card for my upcoming London trip yesterday!

The more of my ducks I manage to get in a row, the more excited I get... I've actually never been on a trip like this on my own before. The only times I've traveled abroad was with family or for a school trip, so going on my own (aside from my two best friends) is really exciting! There's so much I want to do... and I have the freedom to do it all (so long as my friends want to, too, lol)! I feel like my ability to organize and fill out paperwork is really coming in handy, too. As long as I keep thinking of every practical detail, I don't think there'll be any bad surprises in store for me.
It's important that I get it all squared away, too, because both of my best friends don't have as much free time as I do: one of them works in an elementary school, and the other is a student, while I'm unemployed. So if I can do the hard work of coordinating and organizing for them, and just let them relax on their vacation, I'll be really happy ^^

Ooh you're going to London? That's so awesome! I hope you have lots of fun!
I'll be heading to England myself this year as well, but I'll be in the far, far south.

Don't forget to use a mask if you're traveling via airplane! Last time I was on a flight, I caught a fever from someone orz.

Guys. Guys please help.

I decided to go browse the Pokémon Center website to make a "shopping list" of sorts of stuff to look for when I go to EUIC next February. So I started by opening the Plushes tab...

Next thing I knew, I had written three pages in my Google Docs of stuff to get... why are they all so cute!? I don't have that much money!

You can take a look at the stuff I want here.

I don't know how I'm going to decide what it is that I want... probably just gonna try to stick to the 5-star and 4-star tiers as much as physically possible...

okay guys I have to complain

so a few weeks ago I ordered a plushie of one of my favorite characters online. here she is:

GOODS-04579072.jpg

So. first of all yes I did say a few weeks ago. This package is coming from Japan so it's been a while. Secondly this is a pretty rare item overseas; they tend to make exactly enough to fulfill preorders and I didn't preorder her, I just happened to find one for MSRP on a reliable site.

Yesterday, the post gets to my building with her package without properly notifying me of their imminent arrival like most sites usually do. On top of that, instead of calling me or otherwise trying anything to get this to me, they leave within minutes and tell me that the package couldn't be delivered... keep in mind we usually have someone at reception here, so I had horrible timing too because they got there 10 minutes into their lunch break.
So, okay, whatever, it's annoying but I think like "I'll ask them to deliver it to the post office nearby that way they can't just give up instantly. So I set it to be dropped there, it's supposed to get there the next day, all is well.

...until I wake up this morning and SUDDENLY THE POST OFFICE IS CLOSED ALL DAY FOR MAINTENANCE. WHAT.

This was indicated nowhere yesterday! And now I have to wait yet another day to get my hands on my soft daughter. sigh.
In the grand scheme of things it isn't a big deal but it stresses me out to not get my packages asap because what if they lose it or it gets damaged or whatever. hhhhhhhhhhh

nooo that's so frustrating!!! fingers crossed you can get her quickly once the post office reopens!

I made a wonderful discovery today!

For the longest time, I thought my oldest surviving Pokémon was my Samurott, nicknamed Ness, from my first playthrough of Pokémon White 2 in 2012. But today, while looking through my HOME boxes, I found my Musharna named Musha (like the Pokéspe Musharna) from my 2011 playthrough of White 1! This made me really happy: that playthrough is the oldest one that I have any memories of, and seeing this Pokémon still around as a memento of it was a nice surprise.

Here she is below:

Also, as a fun fact, due to a bug during the transfer from Bank to HOME, she got duplicated, along with some other Pokémon from that batch. So I have two of her, lol

Guys I'm dying. Today is the day that the tickets for the Pokemon and Natural History Museum in London's collab released. Turns out that event happens in early 2026, including during EUIC's weekend, so I wanted to book tickets for me and two of my friends... but my dumb ass got there 30 minutes late because I didn't see the email lmao

Luckily I could book tickets on the thursday before (the entire weekend + friday was already full) but that means that I can only go with one of my friends since the other won't be in london on that day. oh well. I'll just have to gift him some merch to make up for it kgfldhzmlqdj

Downer post aside I'm really excited for it!!! I'm glad these two specific Pokemon events happened to overlap like this (most likely intentionally), it's promising to be a very unforgettable stay for my autistic ass

Started on my ZA journal this week. Drawing is incredibly stressful for me and always has been, so I'm not exactly overjoyed with the results, but they're not... bad either, per se. I'm trying to not give myself a hard time for the obvious flaws.

Here are the first few pages of the book!

The drawings aren't bad at all!!! That's a very cute Tepig :3

It looks so good! I love the drawings :bulbaLove:

After a lot of effort, blood, sweat, and tears, I have completed the first entry of the Z-A Journal!

Overall, I'm... tolerant of the art so far. It's far from perfect (and I struggle to call it good myself, though my friends disagree), but it at least exists, so I'm happy enough with it.

The writing is really fun, though! Having to write around the fact that Serena and Harmony are essentially the same character in my story is interesting; it'd make sense that AZ would offer lodging to the former after freeing him from eternal loneliness, torment, and literal prison, lol
