Michael Vick Takes PETA Course in Respect for Animals

Awesome, now he'll organize a racket like that for human fighting as a result.

He's going to come out of that course actively hating animals after learning all of the great PETA lessons, like:

"If you have a choice between saving an 11-year old boy and an ant, you must choose the ant, because animals are superior to humans."

"Owning pets is equivalent to slavery."

"Eating meat makes you Hitler."

I think I just found a new MSN screenname.

Greeeeat, from one extreme to the other. He needed *something*, but PETA are borderline terrorists.

Also, how is this a thread for "geeky misc"?

I had posted it in the wrong place. My 3 year old sister had the Aladdin: Return Of Jafar DVD sound blasting through my Philips amplified stereo system and I couldn't think straight because of it. She had the volume on 90%.

Oh god.

Oh god.

Can't think of anything else to say. I'm just floored. My hatred for Vick and PETA...then the combination...AND PETA COURSE IN RESPECT FOR ANIMALS? WHAT THE HELL?

PETA + respect = doesn't exist.

They don't even respect THE ANIMALS.

God forbid they give them a chance to live or find homes! God forbid they're a "bully breed", even if they're beloved members of families and just as good as other dogs! They euthanize a ridiculous amount of the animals they receive, for absolutely no reason (such as the animals are perfectly safe and healthy), are against no-kill shelters, and- I kid you not- want to eradicate every bully breed out there, at the very least pit bulls, and the person leading it all claimed that anyone who really loved dogs wouldn't give a ratatta's ass if they committed genocide on a breed.

This is insane. If Vick thinks this will get him out of the bloody hole he dug himself into, he's got news coming to him. No one respects PETA, and for god damn good reason, and him even being mentioned with them will get him digging deeper.

While I am supportive of putting vicious dogs to sleep, I am against training them to be vicious. I do know that some cities, counties, and states have 3 bite laws on dog biting. Some places have what is called Breed Specific Laws banning certain breeds. I had a beagle until she died last month of heart failure and I loved her to death. I had always believed that Sarah (my beagle's name) helped my Grandfather live a year and a half with Pancreatic Cancer. My friend, Mike, has 6 female pit bulls that are as gentle as kittens. I do believe in some of the things PETA backs, I don't support 100% of what PETA backs. It was their video that was narrated by Pam Anderson titled "Kentucky Fried Cruelty" that had stopped me from eating at Kentucky Fried Chicken. Enough said.

Yeah, there are dogs that have been trained to be vicious that they're beyond being helped, and there's nothing more you can really do than to euthanize them- they're a danger to people, a danger to themselves, other animals.

I loathe Breed Specific Laws, in which they ban breeds. They're completely unfair. Any dog can be trained to attack and kill, some are just bred to have done it for centuries and it's more easily tapped. I could understand a law to be more restrictive and selective in who adopts or buy these dogs- try to be sure they get responsible, experienced owners. Sad when there has to be a background check just to take in a dog, but personally that's the only way I feel sure the dogs aren't exploited since they're the most commonly used.

PETA's only done ONE thing that I am thankful for- showing what goes on behind scenes that we probably wouldn't know otherwise.

But that's a double-edged sword. I hate them for throwing those videos everywhere and scaring kids shitless for one thing. They abuse what they uncover.

...*ignors the dreaded peta*..I think I heard something about him..He was a football player who dog fighted, right?I heard about him from the ASPCA website[which is NOT with peta]
