Migrating from GBA

Sorry if this has been discussed before but couldn't find anything. I can't migrated pokemon from the GBA games the DS. I'm playing Platinum, pal park is open. When I switch on the DS with both game packs the option to migrate pokemon isn't there and when I try to play the GBA game again I get told that the saved game has been deleted:.

has anyone experienced this? anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

To answer your question: that GBA game you have may be fake.

That, or else the regions dont match. When i have a us gba pokemon game and a japanese pokemon game, i dont loose any save files, but it doesnt reconize.

But since the save was deleted, yeah, its fake. Sometimes fakes end up at gamestop (yes, i've seen fake/bootleg pokemon games at gamestop before)

if you want to know if its a real game, look in the opening at the bottom of the cartridge. if it says nintendo its real, if it does not you have a fake copy

Why would you say anything about the regions not matching if that ISN'T the case?
