I love both, Pip and Miju are cute and Miju's 2nd stage evo and Empoleon look cool..

My vote's going to Miju since I know most are gonna pick Piplup.

Mijumaru. Looks better and it did not ruin the anime.
 
Mijumaru. Because I like otters, and Empoleon was totally useless in Pokemon Platinum :(
 
Well, people complain that Mijumaru is just a copy of Piplup... but I think they'd have Mijumaru in the Isshu region anyways. COUGHPIPLUPISJUSTACOPYOFDELIBIRDCOUGH.~
I'll say Mijumaru~ Sea otters pwn~ :3!
 
Mijumaru wins. I can't stand Piplup and Mijumaru is just so badass

I'm afraid to say that Piplup's anime incarnation tainted my views toward the species as a whole throughout the franchise, and so any respect that I had for Piplup as a character has diminished since I first saw it in 2006.

Mijumaru had the opposite effect. Hated it at first for unoriginality and a poor design, and then grew to like it once I saw it wielding its AWESOME Shell Blade in the BW teaser. The little otter's probably my favourite BW starter now and i'll almost definitely start with it if I do eventually buy Black or White.
 
They're both just so adorable, I can't pick!!

I guess I'll pick Miju, because it gets less love than Piplup. (even though Empoleon IS awesome...)
 
STUPID QUESTION.

MIJUMARU AUTOMATICALLY WINS BY DEFAULT.
 
I am surprised at the results. My first thought of seeing Miju was how ugly and clown-like it was. Piplup is pretty cute, and Empoleon is the coolest Water starter since Blastoise (last evolution). I also don't watch the anime, so I guess my attitude towards Piplup hasn't been tainted.
 
To Me, Both Are Ugly, Overrated, Dopey, And Annoying, And I Can't Be Sure Untill I See Mijumaru's Finall Evolution.
 
I could never stand Piplup in the Anime.. And Empoleon has a strange typing in my opinion.(Water/Steel making it weak to Fighting types)... so I'm going with Mijumaru.
