Mike "Master Roshi/Baby/Buggy" McFarland in Pokemon

[Pokémon Master Ash]

So I just saw that Mike McFarland apparently has a cameo role in Pokemon Black and White: Adventures in Unova. I'm kinda glad to see the "Billy Bob Thompson/Marc Thompson/Lisa Ortiz/Sean Schemmel/Tom Wayland" set-up we've had for the last twenty or so episodes of BW is going to fade away for a bit, and the variety in the TPCi dub is going to return. Honestly one of the few things I like about the current TPCi dub when compared to the 4Kids dub is that they utilize more voice actors (the quality of said voice acting, however, is generally +/- the same for the COTDs in both dubs to me). I think it's cool to see new faces here on Pokemon, like when Chris Sabat played Cliff, or when J. Michael Tatum played Tobias/Damon or Christina Vee played that nursery girl etc. were on the show. I myself am pretty familiar with most of the mainstream FUNimation voice actors, so I think it's pretty cool Tom Wayland's inviting them to guest star on the show. I heard Kyle Hebert (most famous for his role as Late Teen-Adult Gohan-- the Buu Saga one onwards-- on DBZ) may do a role or two when he goes to NYC, so I'm looking forward to that as well one day.

I'm most familiar with Mike's work as Master Roshi from Dragonball. He's a pretty good VA to me, so I'm looking forward to what he pulls out. Of course, there's not a whole lot you can do with a COTD on the Pokemon anime, but I'm still interested to see how he'll pull it off. :sweatlol:

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of Colleen Clinkenbeard as well. She's a very versatile voice actress, and has some pretty amazing acting skills. It'd be awesome to see her on Pokemon one of these days.

I can tell, after all, she plays Luffy pretty well.

If Colleen ever had to move to New York, and something happened to Sarah Natochenny & Veronica wasn't called back then I'd want Colleen as Ash as she would do good.

I would not be surprised if colleen does appear on the pokemon dub at some point. If they were able to Have Vic Mignogna(sp?) do 2 roles in the anime they'll prob will get her.

If Colleen ever had to move to New York, and something happened to Sarah Natochenny & Veronica wasn't called back then I'd want Colleen as Ash as she would do good.

I honestly think Colleen would do a great job with Ash if that was the case.

Honestly, you're guess is as good as mine what's been going on with Veronica Taylor and Eric Stuart. They've said countless times in the last five years at cons they'd be willing to come back to the show, but for some reason TBTP at TPCi or they themselves simply refuse to let them do so, even in the form of cameos. We haven't heard from Lillis since 2008, either. Really kinda breaks my heart, actually. *sigh*

Truth be told the only VAs I've ever wanted TPCi to bring back first and foremost were the old VAs for the main characters. They've done literally everything but that at this point. I've pretty much given up any hope that'll happen. lol. XD.

True man. Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely grateful Ortiz etc. are back in the dub again, and I do think TPCi has been improving a lot over the years (as have Sarah etc.).

In general the dub switch fiasco has been a real mess over the last few years. So Lillis and Knotz supposedly got in a fight over Jessie, huh? That would explain why Rachael hasn't been on the show since Battle Dimension, though. As would why Veronica and the others who used to play main characters are not allowed back on the show. That's a real shame.

I can't say I blame either Knotz or Lillis if that's the case, though. You tend to develop an attachment to a role after being with it for a long period of time. For example, I've seen how horrified Veronica Taylor still is at losing Ash: it just makes me want to give her a hug to tell her it's alright. I saw her break down in tears in 2006 when she said she was being replaced. When someone cares that much for what they're doing...it's just heartbreaking to see them being forced away from it.
