Miriam & Toxapex make their Pokémon Masters EX debut in new EX Fair Scout, alongside launch of the Angel of the Nurse's Office Story Event

Miriam makes her Pokémon Masters EX debut today in a sync pair with Toxapex in the game's latest EX Fair Scout. The pair also star in a brand new Story Event launching today, Angel of the Nurse's Office.

Miriam EX Fair
Miriam debuts her Sync Pair with Toxapex in this limited-time EX Fair Scout available in-game now, and running through to November 25th, at 9:59pm (PST).

EX Fair Scouts are effectively the Poké Fair equivalent of the recent EX Master Fair Scouts, with an offering rate of 2% for the featured EX Master Sync Pair, 1% for additional featured 5★ Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs (0.5% each), and 10% for other 5★ Sync Pairs, which may include other Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs. Like with normal Poké Fair Scouts, EX Fair Scouts require 400 scout points before players are able to get a free selection of any one Sync Pair available in the Scout.

The two Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs who will join Arezu & Lilligant in this scout are Oleana & Garbodor, and Klara & Slowbro.

The Miriam EX Fair includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for ×100 paid gems. This daily discount can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout. The first twelve times players perform a Sync Pair Scout ×11 for this scout, they will also receive the following bonus presents:

• 1st-4th Scout: Support Move Candy Coin ×1
• 5th Scout: Superawakening Candy ×1
• 6th-9th Scout: Support Move Candy Coin ×2
• 10th Scout: Superawakening Candy ×1
• 11th-12th Scout: Support Move Candy Coin ×2

In addition, players who team up with Miriam & Toxapex in this scout will also receive Field Roll Cake ×4 and 5★ Power-Up ×4 each time they scout the pair, up to 5 times.

Miriam & Toxapex are a 5★ Poison-type Support Role Sync Pair with an unlockable Field EX Role and a Superawakening. Raising them to 6★ EX Status changes their outfit from the normal whitetones of a nurse to a design with light blue coat over a blueish-purple top and reddish-purple skirt, matching with Toxapex.

Miriam & Toxapex have an interesting combination of skills and moves focused around nullifying opponents attacks. Their Baneful Bunker move nullifies moves that hit Miriam & Toxapex while leaving the attacking opponent poisoned, and their Wide Guard move nullifies moves which target all allies when hit. These combo with their Their Poison Spikes Time to Shine Passive Skill, which restores an MP to their Ametrine Tera Blast each time an opponent's attack is nullified.

Miriam Gem Emote
A special Gems with Gym Emotes offer is available from the in-game shop alongside the Miriam EX Scout, allowing players to obtain a Miriam Gym Emote as a present. This offer, which comes with 250 paid gems, can be purchased under the With Emotes tab in the Purchase Gems menu of the in-game shop until November 25th, at 9:59pm (PST).

Story Event: Angel of the Nurse's Office
The new Angel of the Nurse's Office Story Event sees Miriam arriving on Pasio to teach at the Pasio Academy, and wanting to battle the player to get used to the battling style on the island. The event will run through to November 25th, at 9:59pm (PST).

This Story Event continues the recent trend of returning to the classic event format, where players can earn special items by completing event battles. The Event Voucher N earned in this event can be exchanged for a variety of valuable items, including a Special Skill Feather 106, a custom Lucky Cookie for Miriam & Toxapex, and 5★ Scout Tickets, amongst other minor rewards. Players can also obtain Gems and a Support Move Candy Coin for completing special missions during the event.

Unlike typical Story Events, this event only has a single battle stage, Daily Extreme Battle 1, which awards 30 gems as a first time reward, and 200 Event Voucher N for each completion. With only this single battle stage, players will need to make sure they diligently complete the stage every day if they wish to unlock all the rewards from this event.

As usual for events of this type, players will receive bonus Event Voucher N if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:

• Miriam & Toxapex: +60% (×1.6) bonus rewards
• Chuck & Poliwrath: +40% (×1.4) bonus rewards
• Rosa & Snivy/Servine/Serperior, Rosa (Academy) & Deerling (Spring or Summer): +20% (×1.4) bonus rewards
• All other sync pairs with the Paldea Theme Skills: +20% (×1.2) bonus rewards

These bonuses stack additively, so having a team consisting of Miriam & Toxapex, Chuck & Poliwrath, and Rosa & Serperior would grant a combined +120% (×2.2) Event Voucher N.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:

• The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 11:00pm (PDT).
• To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
• The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
• All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
• Leftover Event Voucher N items will be automatically converted to coins at a rate of 10 coins per item at the end of the event, and sent to players' Present Boxes.
