Not sure if this is supposed to be in Video Games. If so tell me.

Anyway, I was thinking that some pokemon speices are mismatched.
Take Weedle. How is it a "Hairy Bug". I would of gone with somthing like "Pin" or "Spike" Pokemon.

Anyone got anything else?

Blastoise: Shellfish? Eh?

Arcanine: Legendary? Nope.

Slowpoke: Hermit Crab? I guess....

Starmie: Mysterious? How is it more mysterious than Staryu?

Mew: New Species? Isn't it supposed to be one of the oldest?

Azumarill: Aqua Rabbit. No. Fuck you.

Dunsparce: Land Snake. As opposed to all the sea and arborial snakes there are. Also it has wings, so I hate it.

Snubbull/Granbull: Fairy. I guess it's ironic?

Phanpy: Long Nose. NO! It has a short noseGODAMMIT!

Lombre: Jolly. I get that it's named for "hombre", but considering its look and Gen 3's love of ironic evolutions, it seems more somber than hombre.

Nincada: Trainee. lolwut, I will say. lolwut.

Numel: Numb. This is getting stupid.

Grumpig: Manipulate. I'm just going to stop with the color commentary.

Flygon: Mystic.

Bidoof: Plump Mouse. They gotta stop calling things that aren't mice mice.

Yanmega: Ogre Darner? WHAT.

Mankey and Primeape: Pig Monkey. lolwut?
Togepi: Spike Ball. ...
Masquerian: Eyeball. WTF?

Starmie: Mysterious? How is it more mysterious than Staryu?

It is purple.

I know how Starmie is mysterious (at least one of the reasons why it's mysterious):

Diamond/Pearl/Platinum Pokedex said:
At the center of its body is a red core, which sends mysterious radio signals into the night sky.

Anyway:
Vaporeon (it can't learn BubbleBeam! (it used to))

Agreed. What the hell is that?

Its a Green Darner (or ogre darner). One of the largest and also one of the fastest species of dragonfly, reaching around 50 or so mph at top speed. So that is correct for Yanmega. See this, darners are big for dragonflies:

What about Palkia being Water/Dragon? It never lives anwhere near water and by how it acts in movies, it reminds me of a Psychic/Dragon.

Togepi: Spike Ball.

Well it is a ball like shape with a spiky head.

Numel: Numb. This is getting stupid.

Well according to bulbapedia: "Numel is a very strong Pokémon, having served humans for many years with its ability to carry heavy loads. This trait is especially useful because of its numbness to pain, making it efficient as well."

so how does it not make sense? Read bulbapedia before thinking things are stupid. Many things in pokemon don't make sense, but bulbapedia seems to clarify them well.

Arcanine: Legendary? Nope.

Well I think the reason for it being called Legendary according to bulbapedia anway: "Arcanine is based on the Ryukyuan シーサー shisa, or koma-inu. They are mythical creatures that take inspiration from lions, tigers, and dogs. Statues of them in pairs are used as guardians and to invite good luck. It could also be based on the Haetae, a mythical fire-eating dog with similarities to lions and tigers. " And those being mythical creatures could give this one its legendary status, but I don't really get it, not because of what its based of, but what it is in pokemon, they didn't protray it as a legendary.

Nincada: Trainee. lolwut, I will say. lolwut.
I think it's a reference to the fact that Ninjask has a design that is partially based on a Ninja, hence the name. Thus, Nincada is a ninja-in-training.

I think this was a translation issue. In the Japanese version, Caterpie is the "Imomushi Pokemon", whilst Beedle is the "Kemushi Pokemon". In English, both of these can translate as "caterpillar", so they opted to go a more literal route with "kemushi", resulting in "hairy bug".

Dunsparce: Land Snake. As opposed to all the sea and arborial snakes there are. Also it has wings, so I hate it.

Ah, you must be the Dunsparce hater I was warned of.
Couldn't they just call Zangoose a mongoose?
