FFFFFF- I know I said I was done with OU teams and all that-but!-I can't help it. I've been working on this team for like a day testing it out. I haven't made any changes yet because it's still early in the testing..but I wanna know if there are problems already, what can I fix. It's a very..and I mean VERY..simplistic team. If used right it can clean up really quickly. The team is basically based on trying to get MixMence to come in and clean up late-game. I'm starting to get a hang of the MixMence and the other Pokemon too. WHATEVER suggestion you have...or maybe problem...please tell me and we'll discuss it. Now on to the teeeeem.

Lead

DATLEAD the Swampert@Leftovers

EVs: 252HP/4ATK/252DEF
Nature: Relaxed
Ability: Torrent
Move-set: Stealth Rock/Earthquake/Ice Beam/Roar
Comments: Takes hits better than Azelf, that's for sure. So far the biggest problem with Swampert that I've had is Trick leads. If I know a trick is coming I usually go for Stealth Rock just so I can have them up there. I don't fear Rapid Spinners because I have Gengar. I do a little switching but usually bring him out to Roar the other team to death(because carrying a Pokemon with taunt is overrated). I went with EQ for STAB and since it will do a lot of damage to Fire and Steel types. I then went with Ice Beam because for whatever reason people like to bring in Salamence or Latias to this thing. It doesn't OHKO but it does do quite a lot of damage. Roar is to annoy the hell out of the person, while I'm seeing every Pokemon on their team and giving them damage via Stealth Rock. I usually don't keep him around much, the best he does if he's alive and around is take hits for other Pokemon like Starmie(Thunderbolt) or Scizor(Fire Blast). I think the real problem here is that he doesn't have a healing move at all. Leftovers is nice if the damage is under half, but if it's at half or over we're having problems. Now I don't mind loosing him at all, it's just that I think he would server better if he had a healing move. Maybe a Skarmory is a better replacement? I mean it wont hit Steel/Fire/Dragon but it can Whirlwind>SR>Roost>repeat.

Special Sweeper

Breakdown the Gengar@Life Orb

EVs: 4DEF/252SPE/252ATK
Nature: Timid
Ability: Levitate
Move-set: Hidden Power [Fire]/Focus Blast/Protect/Shadow Ball
Comments: HP Fire is for Steel types, mostly Scizor. Protect is to scout what the opponent will do, if it is Scizor I can know if I can counter it or not. Shadow Ball will do a big chunk of damage to basically anything and Focus Blast is to keep things like Tyranitar in check. He mostly covers for Magnezone who would be hurt by a fast Pokemon with Earthquake or Earth Power. Also Protect sounds really good over Sub because Protect has priority so I'll know if a Pursuit is coming or a Priority Move, it doesn't take HP away and I can keep the Life Orb which adds more damage to the attacks.

Steel Killer
Ani462MS.png

RUSTED the Magnezone@Leftovers

EVs: 4HP/252SPE/252SPATK
Nature: Naive
Ability: Magnet Pull
Move-set: Hidden Power [Fire]/Magnet Rise/Substitute/Thunderbolt
Comments: Well I went with him to kill steels because I know I can trap the slow one's and ensure I WILL kill them..unlike with Heatran where they can run away. Now like Exxthus told me, using this thing takes time to learn. I also changed up the EVs to give me more speed, but kept Naive nature to have a nice chunk of SpAtk. I also went with Magnet Rise over Explosion because I really...REALLY...cannot afford to explode and fuck up...I rather have him stick around as long as possible than have him just go BOOM and maybe die for no reason.

Physical Sweeper
212MS.png

AK47 the Scizor@Choice Band

EVs: 248HP/252ATK/8SPE
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Technician
Move-set: Bullet Punch/Superpower/Pursuit/U-Turn
Comments: I picked Scizor for a few reasons, one really big reason-to keep Tyranitar the fuck away. This is the most generic physical sweeper since Platinum's release and he just works well. Bullet Punch makes it a great Revenge killer and it will do loads of damage to majority of OU. Superpower is for mainly THIS BITCH because as you can see this team has a lot of Special Attackers. U-Turn is to scout or just great for running away and ensuring a KO...and Pursuit is for things like Gengar without HP Fire or a Choice'd Starmie. Magnezone keeps him alive the best he can if he comes out early...although this Scizor is mostly for late game.

Rapid Spinner
121MS.png

Priceless the Starmie@Leftovers

EVs: 136HP/156DEF/216SPE
Nature: Timid
Ability: Natural Cure
Move-set: Rapid Spin/Recover/Surf/Thunderbolt
Comments: I knew I needed a Rapid Spinner if I was gonna put a Salamence here...and the fastest one is Starmie. Now by making it a Rapid Spinner I lose and give up all of Starmies wonderful sweeping abilities...BUT it can take hits and dish them back out..just not as powerful. Now Surf is obvious..just a STAB move, Thunderbolt is to mostly keep Gyarados away, Recover is to brush off damage and Rapid Spin is to get Stealth Rock away...and/or Spikes for Scizor. Most people don't suspect Starmie to be a Rapid Spinner so they will switch out to something that can take a obvious move where I can then Rapid Spin.

Mixed Sweeper

Juggernaut the Salamence@Life Orb

EVs: 80HP/176SPE/252SPATK
Nature: Rash
Ability: Intimidate
Move-set: Brick Break/Fire Blast/Draco Meteor/Roost
Comments: Finally we've come to Mence. Now as you can see this is the Classic MixMence. Why did I pick that? Well this set I just have the most luck with. The only other set which I have really good luck with is the Choice Band set but I really like have the option of Roosting. I also wish it had more speed but what can you do. Draco Meteor with LO and STAB will do insane damage even after the 2nd or 3rd time being used. Fire Blast it to keep Steel and Ice types away and Brick Break is so I just have the option to hit Rock, Steel, Dark, and Normal types..all which pose a great threat(the Bitch is a Normal type..yes it's a 2HKO, no it doesn't phase me since I have Scizor). Since this is most likely the last thing I will show to my opponent most of their team is out of the way by then, which means this will just clean up what ever is left. I really wont switch this out since other MixMence sets just straight out fail compared to this one in my experience, and DD Mence or Choice Mence I just really don't have luck with.

I can see your use of Protect on Gengar. Maybe you can go with Pain Split instead? (to deal with high-HP walls like Blissey; Protect is still fine as well)

You might se your dark weakness, with scizor and magnezone being your only resists, and scizor being able to revenge kill them. However, since your lead spot seems to be very flexibly, I would suggest switch azelf for another lead so your team isnt so prone to Babiri tyranitar, among other dark types. Perhaps swampert, due to its resistance to fire moves, which your team also has trouble with, out side of physically defensive starmie.
Its your choice but I find new mence to be most reliable, as the classic mixmence is more of a wall breaker.

As for mence, I prefer the new mixmence, because it can hit hard with outrage.

That Gengar works well too, the only reason it doesn't appeal to me is because if I lose Protect and Hidden Power Fire there is a very good chance Scizor will take it out.

Pert doesn't sound bad at all. But I don't know what set to use then...something like Ice Beam/Roar/SR/EQ?

Also like I said I just don't have luck with New MixMence....Outrage is good, sure, it's just that if I don't have the control over whether I want to switch moves, switch out, or heal...I really lose all confidence. When I used ChoiceBand Mence I basically used him mid-game to try and take out whatever it could and then send something in to sweep up whatever is left. But that never really won me battles...plus Outrage is very unreliable imo...

yeah, I think thats the lead set. I understand your opinion about mixmence, and if it works, thats great.

Alright I'll give Pert a try and report back after about a day or so if it's better than Azelf.
