MKV file?

I downloaded a torrent of SGT Frog that was a MKV file, what do I need to view it?
 
I had a few files like that. I think I ended up using Matroska (just search for the word "Matroska"). I know it worked, but I can't remember if that was the one that was a separate player, or if it was an add-on to Windows Media Player.
 
MKV is the Matroska container. Look up 'Combined Community Codec Pack'. Use the MPC that comes with it. Should solve your issues.
