Basically, I've noticed three types of mods here: italic, bold, and bolded italic.

What are the differences between them? My guess is that it's like half-mod, mod, and admin, respectively, or something like that. I've also noticed that some normal italic mods can't move threads to th HoS, but others can.

Enlighten me, please.

Italics is for normal mods, ones who run specific forums.

Bold, like I have, is for super-mods. We're basically like normal mods except we run every forum.

And bold italics is for admins.

I'm pretty sure those with italicized names are just moderators, only able to moderate posts and threads in their respective forums. Those with their names in bold are global-moderators who can an edit posts, threads, etc. in any forum. And those with italicized and bolded names are admins, who are gods.

That's my guess, anyway.

EDIT: Damn, beat me to it

The regular italic ones are moderators of specific forums. They can't moderate forums outside their own. Outside of their own forums they're just standard members. Sometimes they can give out warnings to other users.

Bolded ones can moderate any forum unless otherwise specified by the administrator, they may still be resticted of viewing certain forums. They're also called super moderators or global moderators. Most of the time they can also give out warnings to users.

Bolded and italic are admins, they can moderate any forum on the board plus they control everything else like content, users, forums, change the board settings, or they can override actions of other staff members if they want to, and much more. Also member #1 is almost always considered a root admin and can't be banned, warned, or demoted by anyone else.

The wiki admins have names in italics also. Not all of them are moderators on these boards.

Actually, we technically moderate the Bulbapedia forum, notice how many moderators are there.

Incidentally, I'm not actually a mod - just an affiliate. So... yeah, don't be PMing me asking me to do moderation stuff as others in the past have. :p

Have you guys thought about using something other than italics for affiliates, like perhaps a different color for their username? It must get a little confusing at times...
