Moltres Moves Overview

Overview graphic for Moltres's moves
Moltres has the ability Flame Body, which burns opponents on dealing damage to them. It also gives them a burn counter

Moltres's first move slot consists of Wing Attack, which can upgrade into Sky Attack. Wing Attack has the user spread its wings and charge in a designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon. Sky Attack has the user spread its wings wide and attack with a powered-up dash, damaging opponents. The more Pokémon from the opposing team this move hits, the more the user’s Defense and Sp. Def are increased.

Moltres's second move slot consists of Incinerate, which can upgrade into Heat Wave. Incinerate hurls a fiery orb that damages opponents, dealing more damage to opponents with a higher burn counter. Heat Wave deals damage to opponents by exhaling hot breath, and also gradually restores HP. The higher the burn counter of the opponent, the more damage it deals. On hitting an opponent, that Pokémon’s burn counter resets.

Moltres's Unite Move is Firebird Inferno, which has the "Area" effect. The user soars upward and unleashes a blazing orb that damages opponents and maximizes their burn counter. After this move is used, the area around the opponents’ scorable goal zones will become visible to the user.
