I’m not a gold-digger! How vulgar! I’m not! My family is perfectly wealthy and refined, and I don’t see why James doesn’t love me. After all, part of being a good lady is to know how to act in public and in bed, and I have a perfectly coiffed hairstyle, flashy jewelry, and the loveliest outfits made out of silk. Of course, as James is weak and foolish, his parents trained me to take care of him. What better way then to dominate him? I’m perfectly capable of managing the household affairs and he should be happy for my thoughtfulness!
Instead, he’s keeping low company with a mangy alley cat that knows how to talk and a harridan who mocks my looks! His parents must be dying of shame!
