Okay so I enjoy mono type teams, I think they're neat. So I'm going to make a mono type team for each type. I only have 3 rules.
1. Each pokemon on the team must have the specified type
2. No legendaries (jury's still out on Wobuffet's eligibility for a psychic team due to his uber classification)
3. Each pokemon can only be used once. As in, Charizard may be on the fire team or the flying team, but not both.
Ugh, electric has been one of the harder ones for me to do, not too much to choose from, so this is probably the best I can do.
Pokemon unusuable due to being on another team- Rotom (ghost)
Ampharos @ Light Clay
Calm Static
252 HP/88 Def/168 SpDef
Reflect
Light Screen
Thunder Wave
Thunderbolt
My screening lead. First it T-wave's the opponent for basically all the benefits of paralysis. Then set up the 2 screens, usually the paralysis buys time to set them up by either preventing attacks or forcing switches. Thunderbolt for if all that gets done and I need to attack, Amphy has a respectable 115 base SpAtk and stab with T-bolt.
Electivire @ Expert Belt
Mild Motor Drive
36 Atk/252 SpAtk/220 Speed
Thunder Punch
Ice Punch
Flamethrower
Cross Chop
Electivire is my physical attacker extrodinaire. This moveset hits 13 types super effective (I believe all but Psychic, Bug, Ghost, and Fighting), so of course Expert belt is a good choice to increase those hits. If it somehow comes in on an electric attack, with its 123 base attack, it will cause problems.
I changed to a mixed attacking version now. The only thing I didn't like was I'm just not a fan of hidden powers because I don't want to go through the process to get the right one so I stuck with Ice Punch, would it be better to retain that or Earthquake or is there an option I haven't thought of?
Raichu @ Life Orb
Timid Static
252 SpAtk/252 Spd/6 HP
Nasty Plot
Grass Knot
Thunderbolt
Focus Blast
My NP Sweeper. Focus Sash will hopefully ensure a nasty plot, and then I attempt to sweep. Grass Knot takes care of ground types who threten Raichu, Thunderbolt for stab, and Focus Blast for a little extra type coverage.
I had life orb on here before but I wanted to try focus sash for a chance for a guaranteed NP. Im now realizing that yeah, life orb is the superior choice.
Luxray @ Choice Band
Adamant Intimidate
40 HP/252 Atk/216 Spd
Spark
Ice Fang
Return
Crunch
I know he's fourth on the list, but he was probably the last pokemon really added. I like Luxray as a pokemon and all, but he just doesn't have the greatest movepool. Intimidate is nice to have, although Rivalry is an option I'm still considering. The fangs are nice with all thier extra side effects and good coverage, and crunch adds more coverage and a chance for a defense drop.
Ugh this one makes me feel stupid. I don't know why but when I made it I completely forgot choice band existed, I just put expert belt on because I couldn't think of anything for it, definately using choice band. I also realized Luxray isn't fast enough to utilize the fangs fully so I switched to the aforementioned set, it has seemed to give good results.
Magnezone @ Leftovers
Modest Magnet Pull
172 HP/252 SpAtk/84 Spd
Magnet Rise
Thunderbolt
Flash Cannon
Substitute
My bulkier Special attacker/steel killer. Magnet rise eliminates Magnezone's ground weakness, and with the popularity of of Earthquake, its really helpful. THunderbolt is for stab off its base 130 SpAtk. Flash Cannon is for secondary stab and has a nice effect. Signal beam is mostly filler coverage.
I did add substitute, but I liked Flash Cannon more than Signal Beam so I kept Flash Cannon, although I may switch back, I'm going to have to do more testing with them each.
Rotom-S @ Leftovers
Modest Levitate
252 HP/40 SpA/216 Spe
Discharge
Confuse Ray
Air Slash
Shadow Ball
Okay Manectric seemed to be not doing too much for my team so I switched to Rotom-S. This adds the dimension of parafusion to my team. If things aren't already paralysed by statics or t-bolts, discharge can help speed the process up. Then confuse them and Air Slash for Flincing. Shadow Ball is Just for stab and coverage.
My Life orb special sweeper. With half of my team having static I think there will be a lot of paralysis going on. Thunderbolt is for stab, flamethrower and crunch provide extra coverage. Charge Beam, is for a hopefully lucky boost in spAtk that Thunderbolt and Flamethrower can take advantage of.
Okay this is my electric team, what do you think?
