Monster Hunter Tri

Its out, the first console Monster Hunter to hit the english market since MH1 is out! And I know everyone is exited! Im still trying to figure my way around the village!

For those who aren't interested in Monster Hunter, you suck and need to buy it immediantly! For those without a Wii, finnaly here is a reason to buy one. For you real hunters out there, discuss!

Also, Im putting a Monster Hunter Tri clan together. Right now im leaning on "The Bladed Guardians" but not sure yet. If your interested in joining, I prefer vets who have played since monster hunter 1, but everyone's invited. If yor interested, drop me a PM with your characters name and Times online. I don't expect anybody to have anything great armor/ weapon wise as the game just came out. I'dlike it if you have ample knowledge about the game. Once I get enough people, I'll make a website and organize farming/ raiding/ arena events and such.

My brother picked up today (we had little info on it other than the cool co-op aspect of it). Turns out split screen is total crap (extremely limited), so it's getting returned.

sucks, but oh well, I'm sure it's a good game

Dude, NEVER do any kind of multi-player on Monster hunter unless its online! Aplit Screen is retarted, but I've found everything else to be amazing

trust me give it a chance, you might just like it

Yeah, I've heard great things about the series, but I don't know anyone else with a Wii and playing it alone seems really...boring. I'd rather not waste the 50$ at this point.

I am pretty interested in this, but I'm not sure yet if it's purchase-worthy. Basically all you do is fight monsters, right? I mean, I know the fights are incredible, but there aren't any other types of quests?

Yahm, there are gathering quests. and some quests, you need to defend a fort agaist gigantic dragons. Those are my favorite, as thats usually when they play the epic MH theam song. they added a new defence monster in this game, Jhen Mohran. The first half of the battle, your on a sandf ship raceing with the dragon, trying to spear him and shoot him with the best of your abilities. Then at the end, your fleet stops, and you have to the either kill it or drive it away before it smashes you and your fleet

You know honestly i didnt know the monster hunter fanbase was no small here. I went online today (the games relese) and there were already thousand of people online.

Im also wondering when the first even is gonna be. IOn japan they had the shonen jump even about a few days into the game's release, but i sont know about here.

also, yes, playing alone is boring, but online is usually brutal unless you've gotten some good weapons/armor going solo. but its really great once you can survive online.

Hey guys I know I am late and probably not receive any respond but can someone be my MH friend? All the three friends I got decided on the last moment not to play MH3. I am all lonely and alone now.:*(

I would love to make new friends and play MH3 with.

I just started the game finished one star level in signal player. Did not try Multiplayer I only want to play it with friends. I just hope that I am not too late.

This game looks very interesting, and the box art looks epic.

I tried looking at the official Capcom website but was unable to. What monsters are featured in this game by the way?

Looking at the sales, Japan got this game bundled with a black Wii and a the new pro classic controller which would both be pretty cool to have a black console.

It looks like we'll be getting a black Wii bundle including MotionPlus and both Wii Sports games for the cost of the current console. Plus, there's already a MHTri/Classic Controller Pro bundle.

I'm thinking I'll get this game with a CC Pro. I'm a little wary, especially since so much of it is online, but I can at least give it a try.

Monster Hunter Tri (3)

This is a game I've been hearing a great deal about, and there's some buzz about it in my local nerd/geeky college kids scene. Visually the game looks impressive and the premise is interesting. You're hunting, in both the manner of bounties and game hunting. You're hunting all manner of creatures, from dragons and dinosaurs to fey and demonic creatures of various types. But it seems like the main strength of this game is much like it is in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles - you're having the most fun in multiplayer. In this case, however, the main multiplayer is in an online mode which is provided free of charge.

It is a game I am seriously considering for play to take up my free time over the summer months. Has anyone take a look? If so, is it really worth the fifty bucks to pay for it?

I played this game for several hours when I was back up at college, and I was really impressed. Despite not having any driving reason to go on such as a plot, I found myself coming back to do more quests in the hopes of building better armor and weapons, and moving on up the food chain. It's a shame that the game came out just before finals; I would have loved to play it more.

The bottom line is that it's a nice game to sink a few hours into here and there, and I plan on trying to find the PS2 release of Monster Hunter for myself.
