If the title is translated correctly then it means:
So I was 8 years of age- with no clue of competitive battling.
So I had just had a shopping spree in Tokyo's Pokémon Center as my parents and me entered a HUGE mall. My parents wanted to go and shop whereas I didn't so they left me at this kids play place.
There was a Tournament going on- this was when the English R/S/ had released, so there was a tournament and I was there. I didn't have any clue of comptetive battling.
The rules for the tournament- Fairly Simple, anything allowed.
Round 1
So the refree's there pointed me to the spot where I had to battle, I walked up there and asked my opponent his name- General courtesy, but he was Japanese so he had no clue what I was saying OR he knew it and was just being rude.
So I had my team:
Ninjask
Ludicolo
Swampert
Gardevoir
Breloom
Alakazam
So He lead with a Shiftry and I simply did what Ninjask does(I swear I don't know I knew how to do that)
So I BP'ed to Swampert and swept his team- he had 2 Wurmples on his team.
^That should prove how easy it was^
By now my parents were here and thus started filming :conangry:
Then I went on and there were about 8 more kids left
Round 2
again this kid seemed to not know what I was saying and he got me down to 3 before something called Breloom came out and then I won.
After this battle, we were asked to wait, so we sat there looking at the amount of merchandise we had gathered over 2 rounds- You got Pokémon merchandise for winning. I got an Ash hat, a Pikachu shirt, a pikachu plushie and a weird kind of bag- it had Pikachu humping Ash- Disturbing yes.
Round 3
Now there were about 4 of us left and we went on and took our stations as we were ready to battle, the kid I was facing was not Japanese, he was if I'm not mistaken, American. We started talking to each other only to the annoyance of the ref. Eventually he told us to battle and not talk, so this according to me was the toughest game- I was down to 2- Swampert and Alakazam. Swampert surfed out his Blaziken and then some other pokémon that I can't recall/see in the video.
Finals
I finally reached there. I had already recieved a MASSIVE book about Pokémon. Add to that 3 Hoenn Starter plushies, I was all decked out.
So my opponent looked like one of those mean kids in movies. So he lead with a Ninjask too, my ninjask kicked his ninjask's ass.
End of match, since after that I died- I lost 1-0 yes it was that close but I should've lost about 3-0.
So this kid was really happy and went around jumping up and down and breaking his tiny trophy.
I was happy with what I had and then walked out.
