If anyone out there, is like me than you probably think. At least once in a while, that the restriction of six Pokémon in your party is not enough. Sometimes, I instead think that the restriction of four moves per Pokémon is also lame. I am wondering if anyone else gets frustrated with this.

I would like it if you could have one more member in your party as I always hate having to shaft a favourite of mine for a HM slave.

I agree with Kaguya. HM slaves are one of the wonders of Pokémon, along with Bidoof, Bibarel, version exclusives, dongle method Pokémon, starters' rarity, event only Pokémon, Double Team, Feebas factor, Spiritomb factor, the fact that you can't catach a Shellos, Gastrodon or Rotom in HG/SS and Beldum's catch rate.

Well I think extra moves or Pokemon could give room for more strategy. An extra space for Hm Slave also good. Think abut this at the very least it would make your HM Slave even more affective one allowing you to stuff in more HM mover or Dig.

maybe 5 attacks won't hurt anyone...I mean...it could be better for strategies... and also for HM slaves

Well, with some of my pokemon I struggle to find 4 good moves. For others I have to choose.

I'd prefer more team members myself.

We don't need neither<-*coughfixthespellinginthepollcough* of them since I've got used to it by now.

I'd want more team members, myself. That way, It would be easier to make a balanced team.

strategies dont the restriction force strategies with out them things would be easier

but i do kinda wish HM's abilitys where used by any pokemon of that type outside of battle at any time so i could continue to catch and use the poke i want with no HM slaves

I'm for both.
It's annoying sometimes that I have to throw away a good move, because there's an HM I need to use and sometimes it's annoying that I have to pick certain pokemon for HM's (water-type for surf and flying-type for fly for example) , which means some awesome pokemon don't get to be on my team!

Conclusion: we just need less HM's:p

Neither.

Honestly, if you think SIX party members is such a harsh limitation, have fun in some other RPGs, where most limit you to FOUR, counting you as the main character. :/ Six is enough members is MORE than enough for you to balance out your team and pick the types you want. Any more and there wouldn't be a challenge in picking the right party members.

As for four moves, it's not a major deal. I find you can work with four moves well even without an HM slave.

I think the Pokemon game mechanics are fine as they are, although I would like to see the idea of the "natural HM move" thing explored. But even without that, four moves is enough to work with, and six Pokemon is fine.

But those games have many less Chartres, So balance is not as much of an problem there. I still see you're point there.

I really don't care, but I'm leaning towards more moves (I'm not a big fan of HM slaves).

When did breeding and the move deleter/tutor go out the window?

Meh, I'm not really into breeding. Just wanna catch some pokemon and fight those gym leaders:p
And how can move-deleter/tutor help? It really is just a question, cause I really only know the basics of the whole game :/

The move deleter is the only way you can get rid of HM moves (which can't be ditched by normal means).

The move tutor/maniac lets you make your Pokemon relearn moves they may have forgotten (say you made your Pokemon forget a certain move by accident and want it back or if you want to evolve your Piloswine into Mamoswine). It's also the only way how Pokemon get certain moves (like Torterra with Wood Hammer). This usually comes with a cost (Heart Scales in R/S/E and D/P/Pt as well as TinyMushrooms and Big Mushrooms in FR/LG).

Remember if you make your Pokemon forget an egg move or TM move through these methods (unless it's through level up), you won't get that forgotten move back. (correct me if I'm wrong)
