Days before the premiere of the 9th season of Pokémon in the U.S., Cartoon Network has updated their schedule to reveal that both of Pokémon Saturday timeslots will be used for new episodes for September.

This is damn retarded. Does PUSA even have eight whole episodes dubbed?

And did the network learn nothing from Sailor Moon S?

Weekend Warrior - Alright title for lame episode.

An Olden Pond - Weird Title for interesting title.

Tactic Theatrics - I love this episode but it's title is a bit Abstract/unorthodox.

Weekend Warrior is okay, nothing special. I have doubts about "An Olden Pond," I suspect it may actually be "On Olden Pond" (like how "Wheel of Fortune" turned out to really be "Wheel of Frontier") but either way, it's pretty rubbish. Dragonair's Lake was a nice, straightforward title, why wasn't it kept? Tactics Theatrics......eh. It could've been worse ("There's No Place Like Dome," anyone?) but it ain't great either.

I'd say these three are about on par with 4Kids' titles, and certainly a marked improvement over the first set.

It's probably only for this month.

And it certainly isn't as bad as the UK Cartoon Network/Toonami that debuts episodes daily for a couple of weeks and then just repeats them until the next set of new episodes. (And we still don't know when the end of Advance Battle will air due to its Johto obsession.)

They've been doing like 3 weeks straight of new GX episode on CN as well........

I've heard that CN has a habit of airing new episodes of GX every weekday for like a month, and then fans get several months worth of reruns. Can anyone confirm that for me?

Yes, but I don't mind.

I personally liked that way.

Actually, now that I think about it...doesn't Pokemon Ranger come out in the U.S. in October? Maybe PUSA is pushing to have these episodes aired now so they can air the first episode with Hinata in October to coincide with the game's release.

The game is released at the end of October while the Ranger special would be the second episode of the month.

The Mystery Dungeon special aired a couple of weeks before the release of the game so that is still a very possible theory.
