This thread is about... Ah hell, the title speaks for itself. Basically, this is a thread to discuss the most infuriating moves in the game.

For me, it has to be Minimize. I've been screwed over by Minimize spamming Grimers too many times to count in the Hax Maison. There are moves that counter it, thankfully, but they're either Body Slam (A Normal-type move that's just a bit more useful than Strength because of the Paralyze chance), Stomp (Low BP) Dragon Rush (which has shit accuracy) or rare moves that aren't learned by the better Pokemon. Scolipede and Scolipede (and Yveltal if ubers are allowed) are really the only viable Minimize counters.

Thank god Smogon bans evasion-raising moves.

Speaking from a non-competitive standpoint, I always have - and always will - hate Sand-Attack. Always there in every generation ready to be an annoyance. It's obviously worse early-game when your Pokemon aren't strong enough to steamroll things and every turn matters more, but it's still just a pain to be missing things because of that lame move.

Fake Out. Just feels like wasting a turn whenever the opponent uses it.
Dark Void. Whenever you face a Darkrai online or in a secret base, you better hope to Arceus that whatever you have either outspeeds it or can block status moves. Doubly annoying in double battles.
Swagger. Do I even need to say why?

Any move that lowers your accuracy/raises the opponent's evasion or causes confusion. Protect can also be annoying because it's usually just a waste of a turn (at least in-game).

Spite in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. Sweet fuck, it's an annoying move.

Minimize and Sand-Attack variations.

Also, any signature move used by a banned legendary pokemon *glares at Smeargle with Dark Void* Banning Darkrai but not banning Dark Void is complete bs. If they're not banning the signature move, then why the heck not lift the ban on Darkrai. I'd rather see the move coming from the terrifying yet charismatic legendary itself rather than a puppy.

Confusion/Supersonic. Dem Zubats in early caves...

The most annoying move that I have encountered in battle would be Protect and Detect, because when the opponent uses Protect/Detect, your moves won't hit the opponent, thus giving the opponent a chance to go first, attack wise. It also wastes your PP because when you call a move and the opponent Protects him/herself, you just blew one PP on the move you called. What really frustrates me is when the opponent is able to get two Protects/Detects in a row, without failing because even though the chance of failing increases after every successive use, there is still the chance that Protect/Detect will succeed the second time it is used in succession.

Bind and Wrap, and anything else like that. I understand using it if I have a status ailment like Burn or Poison, but I hate when a freaking wild Ekans or whatever only knows how to Bind, and just keep me sitting there for fifteen million turns.

Oh god, yes. Definitely Bind and Wrap in Generation I. Being trapped and forced to do nothing but wait out the attack for some 2-5 turns of very minimal damage is aggravating.

Another one: Roar / Whirlwind, especially when I am facing a wild Pokemon I'm trying to catch.

Moves that cause confusion, especially Supersonic on a Pokemon that's really fast like the Zubat-line and Confuse Ray with the Gastly-line.

Other annoying as hell moves- Destiny Bond, Counter, Mirror Coat, Baby-Doll Eyes thanks to priority, Fake Out, Spore... all those moves suck when having to deal with them.

Protect, since it does nothing but waste a turn and burn your PP. Defensive moves in general, since they just slow things down.

I have a problem with Giga Impact , Frenzy Plant, Flare Blitz, Volt Tackle when they hit "Protect" moves nothing hapens, the effect of losing hp (maybe not 1/3 but atleast some like Sonic Boom) or losing a turn should hapen like it would really hit it. Then those moves and Protect based moves would make more sense of using in game.

Paralysis or Confusion still make me die a little inside. I also want to claw my eyes out at evasion raising moves and accuracy lowering attacks.

In Generation I any move with poison was my bane. Their version of Bind and Wrap, as mentioned above by another poster, were bad as well. Nothing sucks harder than becoming an observer to your own battle. The fact that you can't queue an attack while sleeping in that generation was lame as well.
