What cliche phrases and sayings that people use annoy you?

For example:

I hate when people preface a statement by saying 'with all due respect' before criticizing or insulting someone because it's obvious they don't respect the person.

Another one is: 'not gonna lie'

Or: "Let's bounce"..."It's time to bounce"...or anything that uses the word 'bounce' instead of the word 'leave'

It's over 9000

Well, a lot of phrases for me make sense, mostly because I see the irony is them. I think, "With all due respect" actually started as an insult.

No one flame for this (ah there's one) but I find the Pledge of Allegiance annoying. No one takes it seriously anymore. Really. It's a repeated chant. No feeling. No emotion.

"Your Mom"

Ha ha, I got so annoyed with that, then when people would say that, I'd say "Your Life" It makes more sense to insult the person than their mother, right? ha ha

But the worst is: "I know, right?"

I HATE when people say that. YES, I KNOW. THATS WHY I SAID IT.

^ Haha, I tend to say "I know right" at times. But I do find it an incredibly annoying phrase and say it more out of habit than anything else. "Your mom" is terrible too and I don't even see where the insult is. :3

For some reason I don't like the phrase "Same difference". Just my opinion, but I think "Same thing" sounds better. "Same difference" is an oxymoron imo. ^_^

I guess one I hear alot during the school year would be "That's what she said." after someone makes a statement. Also, people who say like a lot when talking (though I have noticed I've done this too at times XP).

My bf, lately, says "bcos pro."
Like, if I say "How did you raise your Pokemon to that level so quickly?"
him: "Bcos pro" (apparently it's short for 'because I'm a pro') but it, for some reason, makes me want to rip my hair out from my head. .-.

I find "That's what she said" even more annoying than "Same difference", now that I think about it.

I've just tuned that out. My friend Nathan says that all the time. I just don't notice him anymore.

Nathan: "That's what she said."

I hate the words gay and retarded when they are used in the wrong fashion.

Same difference just makes my skin crawl!!!

I hate "I could care less" just as much. "I couldn't care less" is fine, and it doesn't make you sound like a dumbass.

Freaking Sweet
G** D*** it all!
The f-word really D=
What up homie?!

Yeah, there's more, but that's all I can think of XD

The words epic and fail.
Maybe in moderation they're okay...
But constantly? No.

Nice hat

Why do people have an issue with my hat? Imagine Lucas' hat but black and with no symbol.

This is true.

I hate the words gay and retarded when they are used in the wrong fashion.

I hear the words about thirty times a minute.
It is hell.

Also, stupid. THE WORD "STUPID".
It is the description for every noun in the universe.

Also, a person I'm living with just walked in.

Him: Fuck you. You sunuvvabitch. Good night. I'll see you in the morning and you're a good friend for now, but one day I'll kill you.

After that, he went on to some crap about Vampires being killed with American flags.

So, another annoying overused phrase. Everything that comes ouut of his mouth.

Agreeing with the pledge of alleigence. The same for the star spangled banner.

And finally, if anyone here has heard "I love College" by Asher Roth, every lyric in the song, personally. I hear "Do something crazy, and "I love college" twenty times a day.

"Majority Rules". When that phrase gets used obnoxiously, it annoys the hell out of me.

"EPIC WIN" when it's used for the least epic things.

Apparently, anything that's slightly cool is immediately EPIC WIN... No. Let it just be win if it's cool. EPIC win needs to be epic. Same with epic fail. But no, it's used constantly.

"Your Mom"

I used to get really annoyed when people would say that, but now I compliment their mothers in response to confuse them.
"Your mother is a very respectable and beautiful woman, and your father is a very luck man."

The words epic and fail.
Maybe in moderation they're okay...
But constantly? No.

Epic is very much an over used word, but i find fail hilarious if used correctly.

I hear that a lot also. I wear a fedora so everyone sarcastically says nice hat. or they call me Fedora Kid.
