What, in your opinion is the most epic moment in all the Pokémon games?
For me that would be meeting Rayquaza for the first time in Sky Pillar so it save the world, and then all the weather changes and water floods everywhere.
EPIC
Also there's two super EPIC climbing in Gen I and the remakes of Gen I, and it's the Sliph Co. where you save the company, and in Pokémon tower where you save Mr. Fuji!
EPIC!

The Distortion World climax of Platinum. It's so eerie yet awesome at the same time! :-D

For me, it would be the first time I defeated Lance and learned that my rival had done it first and then I have to battle him (how many people expected that at the end of the first Pokémon game they played?)

That and showing up at Sootopolis just as Groudon and Kyogre are battling each other....fun to just watch them go at it.

Nothing beats finding a Shiny Pokemon. My first-ever wild Shiny was the first Shuckle I ever encountered in White, and I thought it was normal to be shiny. Then I freaked out and threw my Master Ball at it, still stunned at the sudden appearance of it.

The second time was more epic. Grinding my Magneton in Chargestone Cave, only to find a Shiny Joltik in there. I literally lost my breath screaming.

1. Getting to Mt. Silver and seeing Red for the first time way back in Gen 2. When I realized who he was I almost died.
2. Beating Lance in Gen 2. He's always had the bearings of a champion. More than anyone else I was honored to face and defeat him.
3. Getting to the end of the Elite 4 and finding out Blue had beaten me there.
4. Finding Blue and figuring out he was the new Viridian City Gym Leader.
5. Catching Ho-Oh in Gold version.

Gen I -
When I encountered Mewtwo for the first time... completely by accident. It felt so empowering to catch him... with a Poke Ball. xD I had run out by then, so I thought, "Sure, why not?" ...It was a good day.

Gen II -
The day I solo'd through the Elite Four with my Typholsion... ;D
He's my peep.

Gen III -
I encountered my very first shiney Pokemon... a Whismur. <3 Which is one of my favorites! It was in the middle of my English class... I had to do my best not to squeal. D:

Gen IV -
When I first caught Palkia. I dunno why, it just seemed like such an epic legendary... I felt like a superhero or something.

Gen V -
"Tepig"? "Pignite"? "EMBOAR"?

not the most epic moment for me but...

In N's castle when the sages show up to stop you, but then the gym leaders show up accompanied by the awesome gym battle music.
such a great moment.

1. Distortion World climax
2. The fight with Primal Dialga and the music that plays
3. Rayquaza destroying the meteor on PMD: Blue/Red Rescue Team
4. N's Castle rising out of the ground
5. Climbing Mt. Coronet to stop Cyrus from destroying all of existance
6, The appearance of Dialga and Palkia
7. Climbing Temporal Tower on PMD: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky
8. Sinjoh ruins event

Crossing the Skyarrow Bridge for the first time, and Reshiram/Zekrom storming N's Castle. My first thought was, "Wait, am I still playing Pokemon?" The amazing graphics of B/W cannot be understated.

When the Unova Gym Leaders arrive at N's Castle to battle the Seven Sages. When that music kicks it, you can't help but smile.

I really liked it when Groudon and Kyogre changed the weather, for the worse, because of how it had an impact on how NPC's felt(especially in Emerald when everyone was gathered around/hiding in Sootopolis because of the two fighting. However, it would have been nice if you waiting longer for the condition(drought/downpour) to spread to other areas would have effects on people further away from the incident(maybe more confusion, etc.).

NPC's changing their moods/thoughts based on current events makes it all the more interesting when it comes to revisiting places.

B/W ending scene. And finding out Cynthia is in B/W too - in a very uncomfortable way.

When I FINALLY completed the pokedex in Red and got my certificate. I never felt such accomplishment, I was so proud of myself :D

I'm gonna be unoriginal and say N's Castle. It was actually one of the most shocking subversions of the traditional Pokémon formula..... it was electric watching it come up out of the ground and you just KNEW that it wasn't the end.
