I just want to see people's responses. XD Like, what part of any of the games annoyed you to no end? Like, a certain gym room being annoyingly difficult, or the Truck by the SS Anne having no purpose...

my #1: The guy at the end of Nugget Bridge who asks you to join Team Rocket... and you HAVE TO say no. That irritated me to no end. It's like "YES! I WANT TO JOIN!" Are you sure? Come on join us! I'm telling you to join! "Yesss..... ;; Why am i saying no...???"

That was a moment in which i wished i knew how to make pokemon games, because i want a version where i can say yes. >|

Any of these moments for you guys? D:

Well, each game is different, but I suppose actually starting out is annoying. Low level pokemon you can fight anywhere. Nothing much exciting. And you have to level up you team assuming you even started one. Yeah, once we get past the first gym or so, it gets a lot better.

Re: Most Annoying Part of Any Pokemon Game?

having to go to and from the town to finally get started, like Gen II

Re: Most Annoying Part of Any Pokemon Game?

every trainer having all pokémons in the game, so that there are no "secret" pokémon, which happens in platinum and sort of in d/p (but in d/p it's way over the top)

Re: Most Annoying Part of Any Pokemon Game?

Lt. Surge's random switches in random trash bins made me mad sometimes, as did the switch maze below Goldenrod.

Also, the rival has an annoying skill of appearing on some games when you expect him/her the least (e.g. at the Nugget Bridge), though when you've played the game once, you know when (s)he pops out at the random.

eh.... the one that got me was when my rival appeared near the end of the Victory Road in Crystal, and my team was almost donefor already >.<

Re: Most Annoying Part of Any Pokemon Game?

Trying to get to next town early on without all pokemon fainting. I always tried to pass the trainers that always stop you. Kinda sucks when you only have say 3 pokemon and one is only one with HP left or something. Also annoying coming up with all the wild pokemon early on too. Later on when your pokemon are high levels and you have a random assortment of items so that annoyance does not bother you then, but at start its annoying as if your pokemon faint and have not visited the pokemon center in next town yet, your back at the last one.

Viridian forest at first was hard for me in yellow, took me forever to get through it because of wild pokemon making my pokemon faint all the time.

The most annoying part of the game are the caves that require you to use flash. Also defog is getting annoying as well.

it's not so bad in R/S (being to see at least something.

Gawd i hated the LT Surge room... no good way to go about that. XD I just saved after switch 1. Lol.

And the rival is such a jerk. D: Before i knew everywhere he'd appear, i'd always find him when my pokemon were near death. ;; Good thing i know where he hangs out now. XD

I never use flash. XD I just navigate around in the dark. Which is MORE annoying, if you ask me! XD

Safari zones. Let's take Pokémon with a low catch rate, put them exclusively in an enclosure where they'll almost never appear, and make catching them a matter of pure chance. Oh, and you're charged for the privilege. Not so bad now that there's usually a non-Safari zone way of getting most Pokémon, but I seriously have no idea how anybody had the patience to catch Chansey back in the day.

Roaming legendaries. As above, but somehow even worse.

And these days, I'm increasingly annoyed by... just legendaries, really. In general, the games have improved greatly over each generation, but I hate the trend of adding more and more legendaries each time. In GBY, you had four legendaries to catch and that was it. The last two gens, though, have turned legendary-catching from an exciting, rare event to a tedious, long-winded chore. To say nothing of the fact that most of them are ugly and you can't really use them in battle without feeling cheap... anyway, I'm getting off the point.

It's been a while since I started a new game, but do they still make you wait before getting the running shoes? Depriving you of the ability to run always seemed a bit unfair...

Re: Most Annoying Part of Any Pokemon Game?

Rival from D/P.. So your going after a grunt and THUD!!!Oh hey lets battle. Beat him and he goes oh that guy looked shady was he with Galatic.. Maybe you should pursue him.. Really? Its just lucky that grunts in game world will stop and wait for you.

Re: Most Annoying Part of Any Pokemon Game?

Planting berries.
I HATE it. It takes far too long.
Whenever I find one it goes like this:

Found plant.(orly?)
Pick berries? (yes)
Picked berries. (Yay)
Plant returned to soft loamy soil. (Ya..what?)

Found Soft Loamy soil. (Yes thank you I can see that)
Plant Berry. (sigh fine)
Planted berry. (orly)

Berry plant is growing. (I know. I just planted it there)
Want to water berry? (if I have to)
Watering berry. (How much does this thing need?)
Berry is happy. (FINALLY)

And then the berry grows and you get to start over.
If you ask me this could have been shortened to way less messages.

Pick berry? (Yes. No)
Plant returned to soft loamy soil (I still think this makes no sense)

Plant berry? (Yes. No)
Berry Planted.

Water berry? (Yes. No?)
Watered.

See how easy it is?

Also event Pokèmon.
I. Really. Hate. Events.
I paid for this freaking game I hope to be able to actually PLAY every part of it without having to go to some event which by the way hardly EVER comes to this area. The only event I have is the Darkrai Member card and it was only because it was broadcast all over Europe.
And now there's that Pikachu-colored Pichu...I'd love to see that Notch-ear in SS but now you're telling me I have to preorder tickets to some stupid kid-movie to get to play that part???

Re: Most Annoying Part of Any Pokemon Game?

Roaming Legendaries. Nuff said.

Also, Breeding.
We found an egg. (That's why I came.)
We think it's from your Pokémon. (There aren't any other Pokémon here.)
We don't know how it got there. (*skips obvious joke*)
Would you like it? (Umm... yes.)
Here you go. (Finally)

[PLAYER] got an egg. (Thanks for telling me.)

[PLAYER] used Bike. (I noticed.)

*ten minutes later*

The egg is hatching. (O RLY?)

*after annoying cutscene*

[PLAYER] got a [POKÉMON]. (Damn, not shiny.)
Would you like to nickname it? (No.)

-Repeat-

Not being able to run + annoying biking music in GSC. Glad that's going to change very soon :3

Re: Most Annoying Part of Any Pokemon Game?

Not being able to run indoors in Gen III and below.

Re: Most Annoying Part of Any Pokemon Game?

-Somewhat a limitation in what Pokémons are good or not.
-The beggining, after the first time, is always a tad boring.
-Togepis (seriously, that part where a slot of your party is occupied by one [it's an egg, but...] is annoying)
-Flash.
-The new evolutions for Kanto pokémons, I dunno, I just don't like 'em all, they were better before. Lickitung's Evolution is creepy :eh:

Re: Most Annoying Part of Any Pokemon Game?

In RSE when you had to go back to Mauville to switch bikes all the time. I always hated when I'm in a place that requires a certain type of bike and I have to go back and switch to continue on. I'm so happy that Gen.IV fixed that.

Most of the gym puzzles have gotten more tolerable as I got older, but the ice ones really annoy me.

When places require you to use every single HM availible to get through, to the point where you'll need more HM slaves than necessary.

Re: Most Annoying Part of Any Pokemon Game?

I would say the switch mazes in LT. Surge's gym, but now that I know the 2nd switch is ALWAYS in a garbage can next to the first switch it makes it quite easy actually, like maybe 45 seconds of pressing garbage cans.

What I find annoying is Victory Road, I always always always dread it. I dread it so much because of all the annoying 2398472934239 pokemon that pop up and drain my potential healing money for the Elite Four by buying like 600 repels.

Re: Most Annoying Part of Any Pokemon Game?

2398472934239 pokemon that pop up

that's more pokémon then I'll ever see ingame for whole my life. Probably even If I would live 1000 years.
