In Pokémon, there are lots of different moves used by different Pokémon. Every week, we shall focus the discussion on a different move, and there will be some base questions that would help you start this off. This week, Metronome is chosen based on the votes found in the previous thread.
Ah Metronome, the definition of an unreliable yet fun move. When it is used, there's no telling in what would happen next, so it's a risky move to use. While it generates a random move, it is actually a very exciting move to use because when you get a great move, you feel great, but if you get a move that is not appropriate for the situation, you might get a laugh out of it. Even though Metronome as a name implies that anything with an appendage could use it (by wagging it), this move is called Finger Wag, which is why those with actual hands are only eligible to use it. This move may have access to the other hundreds of moves, but it doesn't select certain moves, such as Struggle and Protect. Check out the page on the 'pedia for the list if you are curious.

Here are the usual possible questions about this move:
- How does certain Pokémon (who knows it) use this move?
- What kind of purpose would this move have for them (in the Pokémon World)?
- How could this move be used to aid a profession in the Pokémon World?
- Could this move realistically be used by any Pokémon who doesn't learn it normally? If yes, please explain your choices.
- How would this move be used in battling, realistically or video game-wise?
Other questions (You could ask other critical questions beyond the listed):
- What are some of the best or hilarious moves used when you used Metronome in a game?
- Usage of Metronome is able to allow a Pokémon to use a move they couldn't use otherwise. How are they able to execute moves they can't normally use after randomly calling it?
- As mentioned, certain moves cannot be used. What characteristics do those move have to be inaccessible?
- Is it possible that this move would realistically (as in, in the Pokémon World) use a move that is needed the most in adverse situations?
