In Pokémon, there are lots of different moves used by different Pokémon. Every week, we shall focus the discussion on a different move, and there will be some base questions that would help you start this off. This week, Pluck is chosen.
Generation 4 introduced two moves that removes Berries from the target for the user's consumption, regardless of its user condition, so say if the user is almost healthy, then snatching a Sitrus Berry will heal them even if they are not at 50% HP. This is the Flying-type equivalent, so the main users are birds, as well as a couple of rodents, which might seem odd, but it's really not if you think about it.
Here are the usual possible questions about this move:

The user pecks the target. If the target is holding a Berry, the user eats it and gains its effect.

This is the Flying-type equivalent, so the main users are birds, as well as a couple of rodents, which might seem odd, but it's really not if you think about it.
Here are the usual possible questions about this move:
- How does certain Pokémon (who knows it) use this move?
- What kind of purpose would this move have for them (in the Pokémon World)?
- How could this move be used to aid a profession in the Pokémon World?
- Could this move realistically be used by any Pokémon who doesn't learn it normally? If yes, please explain your choices.
- How would this move be used in battling, realistically or video game-wise?
Other questions (You could ask other critical questions beyond the listed):
- This move is one that would appear to be instinctual, because eating is a natural habit for living things (in this case, birds). However, this move is not necessarily learned by birds (Case in point: very few learners learn this move by level-up). How is this move different from picking the berries normally and eating them?
- The other move that has the same effect is Bug Bite. Interestingly, none of the learners have both moves, with the exception of Smeargle and Mew (since one is a TM and the other is a Move Tutor). Besides having a different type and being learned by most insect Pokémon, how is this move different from Pluck?
- Not looking into how this move works in the games, is it possible for the user to withhold from eating the berry they stole?
- As with most other Flying-type attacks, this move is able to hit faraway targets in a Triple Battle. Do note that not every user have flight, such as Piplup, Rattata and Bidoof. How do they reach the farthest target?
