In Pokeani there's a thread stating that the title of the 2007 Pokemon D&P movie, as revealed by Coro Coro Comic Jan. Issue, will be 「劇場版ポケットモンスターダイヤモンド&パール ディアルガVSパルキア」(lit: Theater Version Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl: Diaruga VS Parukia). The movie will be available in Japanese theatres from July 14, 2007.

finally the two legendaries are coming...

btw, the title seems like a beta version... :p

That is... unusual. Breaks with tradition include:
1. Having two Pokémon in the main title.
2. No unusual spellings of words, or unusual words. (c.f. 爆誕、遭遇(であい)、護神(まもりがみ)、願い星(ねがいぼし)、裂空、波導、蒼海(うみ) and 雷(いかずち))

But eh, the official site is already up.

Myuu and Lucario?

Such a boring title. o_o -goes to see the site-

Huh. With all the other legendary Pokémon running around, I thought those two would be kept for the series.

So does the site do anything other than show off the previous movies?

It is cute, ne?
The quizes are fun! ... Ridiculously easy, but fun!

Ah, er, the title... I hope it's changed. >>;

Hmm. It seems I was mistaken. It turns out the VS in the title is read 対 tai. That qualifies as unusual spelling.

At least one thing can be said for certain: Pokémon loves making a big event out of the big one-oh.

I wonder if the shapes of the clouds are supposed to be significant? In any case, for your enjoyment, the Pikachu of a thousand faces, in formation, and, the backdrop of the title logo. (Is that a Möbius strip I see?)

I don't know. We have not seen a big event made of a clash of legends since the second movie. Not to mention these two have the power to rip the fabric of reality itself with their fighting. That's only if they do it right, though. We all have a bitter taste in our mouths from the regular anime's Groudon vs. Kyogre. I'm mystified as to why they would make these two oppose each other, unless that is the point, that they're not supposed to fight each other. Furthermore, it puts us in a curious predicament with the anime, as we have not even seen TG yet, and of course, this is not when the Dialga/Palkia battle is supposed to take place. This can only mean one thing: we get to see these legends twice, and thus this movie will forever be compared to when it happens in the anime, and questions will arise whether it's the same Dialga/Palkia, and I'm sure a whole can of worms that will have people yelling at the top of their lungs for all eternity. My personal judgment: I am going to have to see more, but the prospect of having this happen again at a much later time in the anime leaves a sour feeling in my stomach. Oh well.

That Pikachu 10th Movie logo is just... words fail.

(Just to let you know: I'm still going "Oh my God!" over that.)

...(Is that a Möbius strip I see?)

It looks to me like some kind of self-interlocking three-sided "strip" of some kind, but closer examination does seem like it's a Möbius strip, albeit a strange three- or four-sided one...

Graphics! BG removal time! Stuck behind spoiler tags 'cause it is just that huge.

Someone go make a forum skin banner with that or something.

Debating whether or not it's worth doing the Dialga vs. Palkia logo as well. The white of their bodies keep getting picked up with the background...

You know, if you asked, you could have gotten the original image which was transparent to begin with.

...

If the original was transparent, why did you put up one with a background?

At any rate, I think it's fun to do graphic editing stuff so nyeh.

*watches chances of Galaxy having a decent anime role fly out the window*
Byebyes.

Unless they somehow rewrite Galaxy to only want the trio or even Giratina or something.

So I guess either Team Galaxy will be in this movie or their plotline from the games is being thrown out the window?

I really don't see them putting these two legends in their epic battle in the movie and then bring them back AGAIN later on in Shinou.

I guess the writers didn't want to repeat their same mistakes with Magma/Aqua, but putting the two main legends in the first D/P movie takes away hype from the rest of the D/P series. I really wonder at this point if Team Galaxy will have any role in the show at all.
