Are or have events from the movies been talked of in the anime/series or events from the anime/series been talked about in the movies? Or they just sort of separate from one another?

Well, Satoshi's aura thing has been mentioned in the anime, and it has been an important factor in those episodes.

Yes:

1st movie: Mewtwo is of course at Viridian Gym.
2nd movie: In Johto, TR mention how they saw a Lugia in Orange Islands
3rd movie: Ash recognizes Entei and Unown when he sees them in separate eps in late Johto
4th movie: Other than explaining why Oak likes Ash, Ash says he saw Suicune before when he sees Eusine
5th movie: No real reference
6th movie: Butler/Diane are seen again at the end of another movie, I forget which one.
7th movie: Larouse City is later revealed to be Drew's hometown. That city was made up for the movie
8th movie: The aura subplot with Lucario is mentioned in DP
9th movie: No real reference.
10th-12th movie: Will probably be reference when the Galactic plot ends.

So with the exception of a few movies, they're been mentioned in the series at points.

Can someone please make a page on Bulbapedia detailing this? Because I swear it seems like we get a thread asking this very same question every other month.

Also, Jackie, from the Manaphy movie, appeared in Spurt!.

Really I've never seen one.

They have just a little bit about this on Bulbapedia also.

Most of times the movies are forgotten it's 4kids fault for there forgetful memory.

If movies aren't canon then that makes movie nines dub ending song ironic.

Technically, the DP trilogy, or at least Movie 10, had already received a reference (maybe two, if the diorama of the Space-Time Tower in "Spheres of Influence" counts, and perhaps three if one takes into account the fact that Ash and Dawn react to Kenny mentioning Dialga and Palkia.), seeing how Dawn revealed the Lunar Wing she received at Alamos in the Darkrai vs. Cresselia episode.

Also, Ash also referenced the second Movie in regards to Lugia as well. As for Diane/Butler's reappearance, it's Movie 8, I believe. If one counts Jackie Walker's appearance in Spurt as a hint that it took place in the anime, then that means that even Movie 9 was implied to have happened. The only movie that hasn't been referenced at all was Movie 5 (unless one counts the montage in Movie 10 as an in-universe reference).

I'll never get this
Why people think the movies are not part of the anime?
Even if they'll never be mentioned in any form (which as proved is not the case) they don't have to be mentioned to know they really "happened" - a tons of "filler" episodes weren't mentioned again so they didn't happen? a movie is just a huge "filler"

I know it's part of the anime.:p I just asked if there was any mentioning of them in between each other.

4th movie: Other than explaining why Oak likes Ash, Ash says he saw Suicune before when he sees Eusine
Not fact. Ash also saw Suicune's silhouette at the beginning of the region, and if Dawn is capable of pointing out she saw a similarly constructed silhouette and positively identify it as Mesprit from a full-body image of one, when all she had was a shape to work with, Ash can surely do the same. He did it with Azelf, anyway.

Becasue if the anime plot is not affected by the movies or the movies plots are not mentioned in the anime and the plot in the anime does not even change because of the movies either, this is why I feel they are not part of the anime, but the anime is part of the movies as some things from the anime have been used in the movies as was mentioned above

With that logic, a lot of the "fillers" aren't part of the show... a movie is simply a long "filler"

I think they're separate because of the following:

In 1 episode from the Johto saga, the one where Ash & Snap go on the hunt for Articuno, Ash gushes how he's never seen an Articuno before - DESPITE THE EVENTS OF POKEMON THE MOVIE 2000!!

Then, in a later episode from the Johto saga, the one with a baby lugia, Ash gets excited at seeing the lugia - DESPITE HAVING RIDDEN ONE IN POKEMON THE MOVIE 2000!!

It's completely nuts.

What do you expect from the Johto saga? The writers had no clue what they were doing.

So Ash will say he never saw an Articuno before yet in the same arc TR remember Lugia.

Its just the writing from the show at the time. Considering this is the same saga that dropped the GS ball with no resolution, we can't expect much.

.....
Scott.........
I won't say anything more

The movies are part of the show as much as any "filler" (not to mention some of these movies were referenced in some ways, while a lot of "fillers" were never mentioned again)
There's nothing else to say

Yeah, and in some cases, they even forget such episodes even happened (for example, in the Tyrogue episode, Ash and co seemed unfamiliar with the concept of a P1 Grand Prix, despite Ash not only participating and winning that competition, but even giving his Primeape to Anthony. Even AG had similar forgetfulness of episodes. In "A Fan with a Plan", both in the Japanese version and the 4kids version, May stated that she won the Fallabor contest with Skitty, when it was actually Beautifly who won the battle in question, not to mention how "The Bicker, the Better" had Ash somehow forgetting what a double battle was despite having done one with Luana.)

Well, either way, there is a chance that that was 4kids fault in regards to the Articuno issue. I wonder if Adamant or Dogasu can see if this was the case?

The Fallarbor thing was just mixing town names - and the mistake apparently wasn't corrected in the dub
And about the double battle... I think the ep you mention had a TAG battle
There's a difference
Double Battle: one trainer use two Poké at the same time VS one trainer who do the same
Tag battle: two trainers together VS one trainer or two trainers together
