Munna foreshadowing?

There's a trainer in Gen. 1 that says "The POKEMON here are so chunky! There should be a pink one with a floral pattern!". Munna is pink with a floral pattern. In fact, that's basically all it is. There's nothing special about it other than the color and pattern. Was Munna designed with this statement in mind, is it just a coincidence, or was Munna an idea ever since this statement was input into the game?

It's a Lass outside of Rock Tunnel in Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, and also in FireRed and LeafGreen.

If the statement is that explicit, probably. But they most likely just brought the idea up again. I don't think that they've been planning Munna for 4 generations.

There's already a topic kind of like this in the B&W section, discussing the Lass' comments, and what it could possibly mean (either foreshadowing, or perhaps Munna was a discarded Gen I Pokemon).
