My 1st Ever Shiny.. a Dialga!

Its amazing. My first ever shiny ends up being a Dialga. When I was looking for Electivre online, someone with an Electabuzz + Electralizer wanted a Dialga. I didnt want to give up the one I had so jokingly I went and looked up Dialgas on GTS. Then I found a Dialga, Lvl.47, and heck, all the person wanted was Salamence. Since ive been breeding Bagons here for matt555, i could probably keep making Salamences, so i shipped off the one i had. Half way through the trade.. i realized that the Dialga was SHINY! And everything is legit about it!

Wow.. im just incredibly happy right now!
 
Not bad, just having the old boys do some push ups and whatnot.
 
lol i wish i were as lucky as you to hacve your first shiny be a legend. My first shiny was a green Wabbufett in generation 2 (if they had shinies back then.. i was little and may not be remembering right)
 
Nice. My first shiny was the Gyrados, and my first 'real' shiny was a Magneton in Fire Red. I've evolved it, and had none since. And Yuuki, how'd youg et a shiny Palkia?
 
I'd stayed away from this thread because I was almost sure someone would have addressed the legitimacy issue already.

What do you mean about "everything is legit about it!"?
You can make a Pokemon with Action Replay a shiny without changing stats or OT.
Even if the ORIGINAL Pokemon was a shiny, the chance of it happening would be one in eight thousand. Therefore, if someone was amazingly lucky enough to acquire this shiny legendary, they most certainly wouldn't seek to trade it away so easily. I'm not sure if you're aware, but you can clone on Diamond/Pearl using the GTS. No doubt, this Pokemon was merely cloned a few times in order to trade away to get your legit. Pokemon, like Salamence and whatnot.
If I had an AR, and was a dishonest person, I would just make myself six shiny Dialga's, and trade them away for 6 Level 70+'s to make a decent battle team.
I don't want to burst your bubble, but most people don't use the GTS because it's either "Level 40 Munchlax for trade, seeking Level 10- Mew", or everything is hacked/cloned.
 
To me, the stats are fine, it's what Lv. 47 Dialga's really are. And seriously, what if it isn't legit? Well, there's nothing I can do about. I'm just happy I got Shiny.I don't even know why you're telling me the down-sides of whether a shiny is or not, cause I'm pretty well informed about stuff like that.

It's not like I created a thread and said "I got an Arceus and Shaymin! They're 100% Legit. I'm so happy"!
 
Congrats, but it would have been sweeter if you caught your own shiny Dialga.. Shiny legends are popular on the GTS. I've gotten a shiny Deoxys, Latias, Giratina, and Palkia but I've seen a lot more too. I bet most of them are hacked but it doesn't bother me since I have my own 100% legit stash that I caught myself or by friends.
 
I'm not sure why everyone is saying 'You're so lucky!' He didn't catch it. He found it on the GTS. That's not really as lucky as actually finding one. So the correct response is 'Nice find'.

Now, I agree with Lunabee...you have no way of verifying that Dialga's legitimacy.
 
I'd have been more impressed if you found it yourself. However, I wouldn't be surprised if it really was a hack.

I managed to recieve a shiny Palkia on GTS when I put a Dragonair up.

Perhaps I'll trade it for something else, because honestly, unlike most of you, I'm not particulary thrilled at owning a shiny legendary, as they are relatively easy to get (just save in front of it and reset if it isn't a shiny).

I'd also have been more impressed if it was a pokémon that people don't usually encounter often.
