my anime sketchbook

i like to draw a lot of anime pictures.
the three i'm posting for right now are:

a cat girl


inuyasha


and a girl at the beach




please critize and critique because i need to shape up as an artist

While I'm not an exceedingly skilled drawer or anything, and your artwork is certainly better than mine, wouldn't you say the heads are too wide?... yep, that's all I got ^^,

Years ago, I learned the hard way that drawing only in one style all the time will severely decrease the time it takes for overall improvement. After learning other art styles, including realism (I found that most important for me) you'll find your base style (in your case its anime) will have been improved since the stuff you will typically draw will be a hybridization of all that you've learned.

Also, be highly critical of yourself. Never settle for less. A lot of the inspiration I get is looking at some pieces I enjoy, and I personally challenge myself to do better than that, and it works! Most of the time

I also wanna point out that you seem to put a lot of effort into those "anime eyes", and draw everything else haphazardly. There's more to anime than just the face! Take your time learning real human anatomy, since a lot of anime is based off of actual human form.

yeah that is true...i need to pay a lot more attention to the rest of the body. Thank you very much ^^
