my favorite girl who traveled wid ash is may because 1: she is strong 2: she is a good cordinator 3: she aint as mean as misty.

i think that if ash ever chose a girl friend then may would be a good choice cause shes smart, cute, and nice.
 
Misty was my favorite. I just loved the group dynamic when she was apart of the show. The constant arguing and humor would really amuse me. No offense to May and Dawn as they added things to the show that Misty didn't but, I just prefer what Misty provided to the group.
 
I just know almost everyone here's gonna say Misty.

Anyway, the Petalburg siblings! I luv Max. He rocks, even if he doesn't even have his own Pokemon yet. He's soooo cute! I'd luv to have him as my little brother ^-^

And of course May, one of my favorite anime girls in the world, has to be here! I was her for Halloween two years ago and everything! She's really nice, and she still seems to have a good temper. She's a little more of a pacifist, but she's alot like Ash in girl form.(Especially the eating habits....)

May is pure win.

Agreed 100%. Also, everyone that came after Misty seemed to have good tempers....except Dawn at times.....and Barry......well, at least in Hoenn....
 
Misty of course for me, I can't stand Dawn and its almost to the point where I flat out hate May given that she alienated me from the show, Ash never appealed to me (much at least), and also Brock I always found to be nothing more than a walking joke in some aspects.

But....but you just.....but.....T-T you just hated at all my favorites.....well not Dawn. She's annoying.

Well I think I can explain but even then you will never understand it. Misty was actually intelligent and said some of the most meaningful things in the history of the show along with making reference to one of the greatest playwrights of all time, William Shakespere in one episode. Also acting as Ash's personal tutor early on but being harsh about it because she was still upset at him for letting his Pikachu destroy her bicycle ANOTHER thing you don't seem to understand as well. She had every right to be angry at Ash, would YOU be mad at someone if THEY destroyed something you hold dear? Also, she was quite helpful at times during her time in the main cast and gave others the courage to follow their dreams along with convincing others that water Pokemon were not as bad as they thought in quite a few cases. She also had many achievements outside of this such as the Whirl Cup and also defeating an unofficial gym leader in Johto. Not only that, people also believe in many cases that Misty added quite a bit to the group such as helping Ash and Brock out at times with things like finding their way out of the St. Anne when it capsized and also solving riddles which helped them find the Big Riddle Inn and eventually, her Togepi helped them find the Cinnabar Island gym. Now do you understand why quite a few people (including myself) have picked Misty as their favorite? Or do I need to do another rant.

As i said many times before,its definitely Misty.In my opinion she had the best chemistry with group,providing many entertaining and funny moments making this show more interesting.She is a great character,and her interactions with Ash and Brock were truly classic.Her dynamics with group,doze of witty comments,sarcastic gestures,eruptions of anger provided to this show and still does whenever she appears something,which is lacking in these days.

Nevertheless Misty is also very intelligent and resourcable as person being able to adapt to any situation(which case with st.Anne arc,taking care of Ash and Tracey during OI and finding way out of unpleasant situation in which both her and Max got in "Real Cleffa Hanger" showed).

And while she perhaps didnt battle in same amount like othere two girls did,she still had notable achievements(like winning Princess festival which was some sort of early contest,Seaking competition,being among top 8 in Whirl Cup,winning Alto Mare race in 5th movie etc) and aside from battling did many things which May or Dawn didnt.
Like saving people lives(two times this was Ash),whole town from destruction in Kanto,giving moral support to her friends teaching people to never give up hope believing in themselves.

With this said,its truly a shame that one of original trio members who left big influence(positive) on this show is threated from writers side in these days like she has been rather forgotten,being reduced to minor appearances once after every half of decade(4 to 5 years to be precise).
The fact how she never received closure,being cemented at gym not having much chance for further development of her character and goal doesnt help the case either.
And while some people let just say/mention prefer when she is off screen,in my opinion said character deserves to be part of this show again for many already provided reasons being discussed too many times.

I say Max because I'm all special and original like that. I really like the kid.

Though if we're talking about girls, I say May. Misty's cool, but May's story arc was more more interesting and made me very sympathetic towards her. And I don't really like Dawn. =P
 
I'd say I liked the original trios and the Hoenn team about equally. With DP, I don't see much of a relationship between Dawn and Brock, which is why I think Max being thrown into the mix of the AG group added more to it than people give credit for.

I don't really agree with this. Misty teased Ash a lot but it wasn't much different to the way May and Max teased each other, and May always seemed almost apathetic to filler characters and such, whereas Misty generally showed kindness, including to team rocket.
 
The orignal three were the best. Although i liked may and dawn is ok. Tracey was good too but was there only for a short time
