My First Banner ^_^

Wow, I made a banner. *is amazed at herself* Wow, I'm amazed at myself... O_O

Anyhow, my banners aren't as good as some people's around here. ;-) I decided to make a banner a few days ago since my friend told me how to manipulate multiple images in Paint. I tried to capture some sort of emotion with all of them looking over their shoulder/turning their head. This banner actually took me a long time, mostly because it's my first one and I spent a while messing with the background for the Winona pic. I also had a pink cottony background on the whole banner for quite some time. ^^; In short, I spent about two hours, but had a blast. Here it is:

Oh! I made this banner for my best friend yesterday. I haven't given it to her yet and I'm not sure if she'll like it. This one didn't take me as long, but not much less, I spent a lot of time just *finding* the images I wanted to use. It's attached.

You ask, am I taking requests? I'm not that good, yo... ^^; I'm not encouraging it, but if you really want something and I have time I'll see if I can. The point of this thread isn't really for requests, just I wanted to tell everyone that I actually made a banner and they can critique it if they want. ;-)

Eh, the second image isn't working, or else it would have shown up as a picture. Better save it again and reload it, that works most of the times.

Now for the banner itself. Although all the pictures have a different style, there's still some kind of unity. The last one has a somewhat poorer quality, maybe you should focus on high quality pictures next time. Making it a shade darker would work as well, but I don't know wether Paint has that ability. Appleworks does.Having pictures that are more or less the same size gives more unity to the banner as well. As for the Winona one, was that one saved as .gif? (can't remember it, but it wasn't an easy picture to work with) when using a .gif file and you want to shrink it, you can save it as .jpg before, and shrink it after saving. it works wonder on the quality

Well, it re-uploaded it and it's still a link, but when I click the link it works for me.

They probably don't look as good because my only resizing program isn't too great. ;_; Yeah I'm not good. I believe the Winona pic was originally *.bmp. I experimented with *.bmp, *.gif, and *.jpg several times until I think the image that I ended up using was *.jpg. *gif had extreme colour loss. Thanks anyhow!
